  1. oh boy we swept the only team in the division clearly worse than us HELLO PLAYOFFS
  2. details for those that missed plz
  3. FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
  4. this reminds me of the awesome cubsfanbeardsauce polls.
  5. Look at your post again, there isn't much valid criticism of Todd there. It is in fact mostly hyperbole.
  6. Maybe this time we all shouldn't freak out, and remember that this isn't a big deal. Or we could instead run our best players out of town.
  7. not to be mean to ron, since i love him, but a good baseball analyst he ain't
  8. not even close
  9. Lots of hyperbole... Walker isn't perfect. But he's among the best NL 2B offensively, and defensively, he's slightly below average at worst. If you don't like him, that's fine, all I know is that I would have been livid if the Cubs traded him and created yet another offseason hole to fill.
  10. I was thinking Maddux might be an answer, but he only has around 1600.
  11. Jesus, are you a jackass in every post?
  12. WHY CAN'T WALKER KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT THAT'S WHY WE'RE UNDER .500 FOLKS
  13. All the research I've read suggests that baseball hitters most often peak between 26 and 27, maintain close to that level until about 30, and then start to slowly decline. I've never seen any research that suggests that baseball hitters peak at 30, which is why I was curious about your source. I've never done any real scientific observations, but I've noticed looking at a lot of superstars career stats, their best seasons came between ages 30-33. (Sosa, Palmeiro, McGwire, among a few others I've just randomly looked at). LOL, I guess this was meant to be funny? well if it made you laugh i guess i'm happy.
  14. haha that prediction in hindsight doesn't sound nearly as ridiculous
  15. I'm sure we'll be seeing the Sox in the playoffs.

  17. when a runner was on second with less than 2 outs sammy NEVER hit a groundout to the 2nd baseman so NO WAY
  18. jerkass is my favorite insult to use, and i learned it from the simpsons
  19. i'm fairly certain imb wasn't advocating trading lee
  20. Which is why it's mind boggling to me that he's replacing one of his best offensive assets with one of the worst. (Neifi for Walker)
  21. you cubs fans and your "stats"
  22. i think len's message board posting days are over
  23. now THIS is the hard-hitting analysis and news i expect when i log on to this board i can't find that jim hendry sitting next to the dude's father thread ANYWHERE. i hope it didn't get moved to the mysterious mod forum.
  24. Pie has yet to play above AA ball (and hasn't even played a full season there), and also isn't fully developed as a player. I really hope Hendry doesn't pencil him in at CF next year.
