    I use internet explorer and I've gotten the old "phpBB Critical Error" message a few times today. But hitting the 'refresh' button seems to fix that.

    Fair enough. But with this division alignment, theoretically, the Astros would have been out of the race in June. And now they're in the World Series. I don't think we should tinker with that.

    The only problem I have, is that with the current Wild Card situation, you're practically guaranteed that the teams with the #1 and #2 records will get into the playoffs. And the way it's set up in the 32 team scenario, it'd just be the Yankees getting in every season with no other team in the division having a prayer. Keep the Wild Card.

    who the hell is suggesting that wood gets paid a lot because he's a nice guy? wood is getting paid a lot because his 2001, 2002, and 2003 seasons were excellent. has he lived up to his contract since? of course not. but i really have no idea what point you're trying to make.

    Andy got to celebrate his pennant after Game 4, and after Berkman's home run last night. I don't feel sorry for any of them. Did you see the Cardinals' reaction after the game last night? No celebrating. They simply shook hands and headed for the clubhouse. They know that they still have work to do, unlike the Astros after Game 4. That's why the Cards are the best team in baseball. At least Pujols' shot was a legit one, not a cheesy fly ball ala Berkman last night and Burke in the NLDS. And they say it was 412 feet. That shot was 450 if it was a foot. Maybe the dimensions of Minute Maid Park in the area it was hit limited the measurement to 412 feet. i'm pretty sure the ball was still rising when it hit that concrete wall

    That would be a very impressive offseason. And I'd be pleasantly suprised if it happened. As far as Milton Bradley being insane, the White Sox have dealt pretty well with Carl Everett, who's no model of mental health. I think Bradley just needs to be on a winning team in a supportive enviroment. Furthermore, isn't this Dusty's (only?) strength? If we're paying Dusty 4 million dollars to not deal with Milton Bradley like players while being horrible at in-game decision making, then this is the biggest waste of money ever. With Dusty as captain, there aren't supposed to be problem players. Period.

    Jim Hendry should be doing this regardless of who wins the WS. If it takes an American League team winning to inspire him to make the best possible moves for the team, then I want a new GM.

    I don't believe in destiny, and I'm tired of waiting.

    Call it luck, and it probably has a lot to do with it, but they are COASTING through the playoffs. It's really hard for me to envision them losing the World Series. Kinda like how you just knew the Red Sox were gonna dominate the Cardinals last year...it looks a lot like that for the White Sox right now.
