    I may be wrong but I don't think a USC loss will help ND. It will take up another at large. Also if they do lose, will they move down any furthur than 2? I can't see USC falling below 2 in the BCS if they lose this one as long as they don't look too bad doing it. Even so I think O$U would be the odd man out and not ND in that situation, even though that's kind of unfair to the Buckeyes. Haha, just a little. Although O$U getting shafted is far from a terrible thing. somebody's jealous somebody = cpatterson20

    Why allow a social forum? Why have a rants forum? Why allow anything not baseball related? 70% of the posts on this board aren't 'necessary'. But the HCP were fun, just like a lot of the non-baseball aspects of this board. Can you justify that anything is necessary on this board? I'm still waiting for the justification that it needed to be cancelled.

    Our corner outfielders are still way below league average. It's an improvement over last season, but not enough to take down the Cardinals.

    Maybe Ohman is now possible trade bait. Also, I'm not going to judge this signing until I see how Eyre does in a Cubs uniform. I guess all the "Mr. know it Alls" here know what the market is regarding LOOGY's as FA's. NOT!!!! Give it a chance all you pessimists & overreacter's! haha, agreed. don't express any opinion until 3 years later when eyre's tenure as a cub is done. Are you joking? 3 years and 11 million for someone who MIGHT give you 70 innings a year is a waste of resources, period. I'm not saying Eyre will suck, I'm sure he'll be serviceable. But it's a waste of money, and a stupid move by Hendry. And I don't need to wait 3 years to decide that, and I don't need you telling me how to react.

    Well, Hendry's addressing the bullpen at least. I just hope he isn't doing this at the expense of not getting a premier RF or SS.

    Didn't we think the same thing last offseason? The market was down, no way were guys like Varitek, Lowe, Drew, Renteria, etc. getting the deals they were demanding. Turns out, almost everyone got what they intially demanded. Nothing would surprise me.
