    what have the cubs won in 1908-present? ernie banks was the best offensive cubs player for a while, same with ryne sandberg, andre dawson, billy williams, etc. do they get labelled the same as aramis?

    Mabry strikes out way too much to be an eckstein type player. Come to think of it though - Theriot is EXACTLY like Eckstein. i know, but he was in that stupid "mlb white player of the year" contest thing, and i couldn't think of anyone else at 1st base.

    remember how d-lee started off cold in 2004, when prior was hurt? if he would have produced more during that time, the cubs might have won 91 games and the wild card.

    aramis is my favorite offensive cub player. i'll be really mad if we lose him.

    Don't you know? Weaver is a great pitcher! His postseaon shows that! He's better than Verlander or anyone else on the Tigers. He's probably better than Santana on the Twins too! Since you didn't understand what I was saying. I said Weaver was a better post season pitcher than Verlander was. Weaver as the 5th starter would be fine with me. He will give you 11-13 wins a year, and he will pitch atleast 200 innings.     matthews had a .349 babip. fluke season. maybe on a 1 year deal, but that won't happen, he'll get a multi year deal. just say no.
