    Not happening with the Cubs. He's played for three big-league managers and none of the three has been fond of him. His most recent manager was in the Cubs system as a coach. I'm sure they still talk. So no, he's not coming here. Bruce, we are going to need stats to understand what you are saying. No, I don't care about Batting Avg, HR's or even RBI's. Please help us understand what your saying with stats. All baseball executives are infallible. Oh God, here we go. But if all of his managers disliked him, that is a consensus of opinion. And a consensus of opinion, while not statistically quantifiable, does mean something. Still, that production would have been nice. I won't be losing any sleep over this, though. I don't think TT started the smartass remarks, Cheesehead brought it up out of nowhere for the sole purpose of getting a rise out of people. His response was great.

    Were not at $150m. We're more close to about $100mil so far. Where do you get $150m? Man, some of you guys are making things up just to be negative. I don't get it? soriano's 136 million + derosa's 13 million = 149 million. i think that's what kctigers was saying

    one player does not a lineup make. World Series Champion's catchers in 2006 = .605 OPS if the overall lineup is terrible then that one player is signficant.

    Honestly, the Drew thing is possible, but not all that probable. The Zito thing is ridiculous. well, i wouldn't be surprised if zito or boras called hendry personally and said he'd be interested in playing for the cubs. more suitors = better contract

    I think it's more the departure of MacPhail. His conservative attitude towards moves really hamstrung Hendry. Hendry is a madman. Unleash the fury, Mitch! UNLEASH THE FURY!!! The answer is all in the Krispy Kreme... One year ago Krispy Kreme's stock was at a pathetic $4.78. Currently it stands at $12.11. When Krispy Kreme is doing better you can pretty much mark half of that increase to Jim simply eating more donuts. Now thats a lot of donuts, so a lot more sugar and thus tons of energy. Signing FAs is just his outlet for all that extra energy. donut jokes? still?
