    For those of us not able to see the game, what is he ranting about? My guess is the errors by Cub pitchers.

    Two innings in a row the Cubs have a guy on 2nd with no outs and don't score. That will probably cost them later in the game.

    They got really good pitches to hit and made good contact and the Yankees had some sharp defense to counter. Do you want them not to swing at pitches they can put good wood on? Johnson and Baker hit the ball to the opposite field. I don't consider that a good thing by two bench players. Plus the team is notoriously an impatient team. Tell me again how this works for them year in and year out. Quade makes another bonehead move having DeWitt pinch hit instead of Fukudome. Then he moves Baker to right. Baker promptly shows he has no business playing the outfield. A bad team with an idiot manager is a recipe for disaster.

    CC at 85 pitches at the beginning of the 7th and 90 after the 7th. Top of the order produces a 5 pitch inning. I don't care what anyone says, that is an amazingly stupid team.

    I like your line-up but I bet Baker plays 1b and Lemahieu plays 2nd and bats 8th.

    I hope Quade has someone ready just in case because the 6th could be tough for Davis with 3-4-5 due up.

    I am not a big fan of Reed Johnson, but for Pete's sake Quade quit reading Phil Rogers and sit Campana down. I find it hard to believe there isn't another candidate to play CF while Byrd is out. I wonder if they will consider Brett Jackson pretty soon?

    They both have lasted through 5, but you nailed the score. Pretty impressive. Now go buy a lottery ticket!

    The better question is why would you use Soriano in that situation. Did Quade really think the Brewers wouldn't go to the sidearm throwing guy? That was a great example of a manager not putting his player in a position to succeed. Carpenter needs to realize you can't just throw fastball after fastball to major league hitters. Throw a pitch close on 3-2 and Hart might have swung.

    I'm not sure Baker is much of an issue either. He's got like the 2nd or 3rd highest OPS on the team. You are missing the point, they both will probably become issues when they play everyday. Nothing in their past suggests they will continue to be productive when they play everyday. I find it hard to believe the Cubs can't find someone better than Reed Johnson and Tony Campana to play CF, especially with the history of back problems for Johnson.

    I don't understand why LaMahieu isn't given the chance to play for a couple of weeks. I think Quade and Hendry believe Baker and Johnson will continue producing at the level they have so far if they play every day. I don't think many fans believe that though. While they have been better about using young kids the last few years, they still seem to count on bad veterans as soon as someone gets injured.

    Blake DeWitt just refuses to take a walk. That 3-2 pitch was shoulder high and on the outside corner at best. Geo with a power display to make it 3-1.

    Exactly! Wells seemed to be in trouble but he still only gave up 3 runs to a hot offense in 6 innings. He kept the game close but his offense can't get much going against a really good pitcher.

    He insists on playing DeWitt in LF and the other day in a close game he had Campana pinch hit in the 7th or 8th and then had DJ LeMahieu pinch run the next inning. Those moves should have been reversed. When Soto was hurt, like Lou, Quade played Koyie Hill daily instead of giving Wellington Castillo a chance. This team is not good, but Quade hasn't shown much either. Guys like LaRussa make some head-scratching decisions, but they seem to get the most out of the talent on the roster.

    The Brewers are red hot and will be in first place if they hold on to a 4-3 lead. So I guess Wrigley Field will become Miller Park south the next 4 days...

    Down one run in the 8th inning and Castro swings at a terrible pitch on the first pitch of the inning and pops out. After a Pena strikeout, Ramirez swings at 3 terrible sliders out of the strike zone. What an approach. Now we have DeWitt, Colvin and probably a pinch hitter for Koyie Hill. 2-8 roadtrip was about all anyone could have expected from this group.

    He's due. Let him play. This season is in the S-bend and we might as well find out if the Colvin we saw in 2010 was a mirage or not. I understand your thought process, but is the kid wrecked mentally by struggling so bad? Plus, facing the Phillies pitching staff later this week probably isn't going to help.

    I haven't read all the articles, but was wondering if anyone can post if there are any concerns about signing Baez. I am no expert, but I like this pick a lot better than the first round pick of 2010.

    So when does the Tyler Colvin experience end? Give Snyder a few starts, what the heck he can't be any worse.

    I'd respect him too, especially if I was an executive of a team in the NL Central. I'd tell him to keep Crane Kenney and Jim Hendry forever.

    I have a great idea. The Cubs should suspend Zambrano again because this is obviously his fault. #-o

    HBP, 2b and three run homer. Way to go wide receiver. Quade has how many lefties in the bullpen and he goes to a right hander with Votto and Bruce coming up. Every move Quade makes seems to be wrong. Come on Ricketts fire him already. It might not be his fault, but the players sure are not giving you a reason to keep Quade.
