  1. Yeah not much point in picking what team will win, but I'll say 31-27. I don't think the defenses will be that great. It would be pretty sweet if Cutler breaks 1,000 yards passing in his 3rd game of the season (needs 351 yards). Something that is unheard of for a Bears QB.
  2. Here's the original article. http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=410412 Yeah I saw that interview with Martz last night. Makes sense, but immediately afterward I saw a Cutler interview who said it was because he was "banged up". Lol. Hopefully Aromashodu will be out there Monday night and none of this will even matter.
  3. Simply wondering why one of our receivers was benched for seemingly no good reason is obsessing over something? More than anything I'm pissed that the Bears haven't given a definitive answer on the matter.
  4. Really wondering what has happened to Aromashodu. He looked so good late last year that in the offseason some people had him as our #1 receiver going into 2010. Is it really the drops he had in Week 1? Is he struggling to learn the playbook? Is Bennett better suited for the system? I just find it odd that Bennett misses the entire preseason because of an injury and it takes him only 1 week to move from 5th to 3rd on the depth chart. Maybe it is a week-to-week thing, so I guess we'll see on Monday. I just think an immediate benching for dropping a couple passes in one game that the Bears won anyway is sort of extreme considering the playmaking ability he showed last year.
  5. That's what I heard too and that's ridiculous if true. He also had some good plays to go along with the drops last week. They didn't bench Knox for messing up his routes or Hester for not getting open, so I don't think Aromashodu deserved to be benched. He's better than Bennett.
  6. Why? The Eagles aren't a very good football team. Their defense has been uninspiring thus far to say the least. I mean they allowed Shaun freaking Hill to throw for 335 yards. I think the Bears could beat any team in the NFC East or West.
  7. How about the run defense so far... Best: 14 carries 20 yards 1.4 ypc Barber: 11 carries 31 yards 2.8 ypc F. Jones: 7 carries 7 yards 1.0 ypc The pass defense, however, needs work and it all starts with the front four. Won't be able to rely on tipped passes for interceptions every week.
  8. The NFC West is absolutely atrocious this year. Would be funny if 8-8 won that division.
  9. What Cutler did today while dealing with that lousy of an O-Line is nothing short of incredible. Game ball to Cutler.
  10. Regardless of what happens here, recover the onside and the game is over.
  11. Don't play soft, defense.
  12. I know it's not entirely his fault but man Forte sucks on short yardage situations.
  13. Stop falling Peanut.
  14. Also Gould seems to have improved his kickoffs this year.
  15. Good half for the most part.
  16. Martz looks like a genius right now.
  17. At least the Cubs are destroying the Marlins again.
  18. I think Aromashodu is hurt too. I haven't seen him yet. Injuries piling up early.
  19. Lol this is hilarious.
  20. Funny thing is I'm not sure Chris Williams being out necessarily makes this line worse.
  21. I knew the line would be bad but this is pathetic. Oh well, got the lead...for now.
  22. Of course you can't count on the QB getting hurt every week, but you also can't count on a team turning the ball over that many times in opponents territory and failing to get in the endzone on 1st and Goal from a foot out. Sure the Bears are probably more likely to do that than some teams, but a lot of fluke things happened to keep us out of the endzone. We still dominated in every aspect of the game other than takeaways. The Lions being able to force turnovers kept them in the game, but most if not all of the turnovers were our own fault and not really a reflection on their defense. The goal-line stand I will give them credit for, but like I said it is very rare to make a 4-down defensive stand with one foot to go.
  23. This is a great point. And I don't think the call is nearly as controversial if that's what happens. But I think something about him holding onto the ball with one hand gave viewers the impression that the play had ended.
  24. He wasn't. He was the only good thing (other than Forte's pass catching) in the offense last week. VAR has him as the 4th most effective QB last week (Peyton, Brady...Orton?). aromashadu and taylor played well, too. the offense was very good except for the fumbles and the goal-line situations. this team doesn't play well in the red zone and they need to figure out how to fix it. Aromashadu dropped an easy TD pass. And a two-point conversion pass.
  25. Forte is on the injury report and was limited in practice with a knee injury. Let's hope that's precautionary and there isn't really anything wrong with him.
