  1. Nobody to throw to. Claussen looked alright against New Orleans.
  2. The Redskins game in a couple weeks isn't going to be a cakewalk.
  3. I'm livid if I'm a Packers fan. How did they lose that game?
  4. Most frusterating 14-point lead ever?
  5. I'll eat crow on this one. Collins should not be in an NFL uniform.
  6. Bears 2 Panthers 0 Peppers with the GW safety.
  7. Well he got injured in the preseason. Collins was brought in and played well in his only preseason game. So combine that with the fact that Collins has more experience and you probably have the answer. I think it would depend on the severity. I'm no doctor but if he was severely concussed last Sunday, he's not on the practice field 3 days later. From the looks of it, him being held out this week is precautionary due to the nature of the injury and not because he's still having symptoms. Not sure how many "mild" concussions one could sustain in a season or how that works, but every QB is one significant injury away from their season being over.
  8. I have no idea what to expect Sunday. I could see them having offensive problems similar to last Sunday and losing, and I also could see them moving the ball well while using their defense/ST to generate points and winning by a couple TDs. I just want to get this game over with so we can go back to Soldier and (hopefully) get our QB back.
  9. Collins isn't as bad as he looked last Sunday. He was actually very good the last time he got signifcant playing time in 2007. With a whole week to prepare I'm confident he's capable of doing just enough. Hanie isn't better. I hate the idea of Cutler sitting and 3-2 now seeming like a realistic possibility, but this is absolutely the right decision for the long run. We must, however, adjust the game plan and find a way to run the football. Get to the bye week no worse than 5-2 and we'll be fine.
  10. Dumb. Although I still think we're better than Carolina with Collins at QB.
  11. Cutler practicing is a great sign. All we have to do now is hope there are no delayed symptoms that would show up between now and Sunday. But since he's practicing, doesn't that mean he's already been cleared by doctors? Edit: Nevermind, I just read the article on chicagobears.com
  12. Can we please stop overrating Alex Brown?
  13. Hopefully Wootton will get Anderson's playing time and not Grant.
  14. And yes Orton's O-Line is only 100000x better in Denver. And that makes all the difference in the world.
  15. It doesn't matter what stats are out there, the Bears did absolutely the right thing by making that trade. Cutler's ceiling is higher than Orton's can ever dream of being. I don't know why QB rating is being tossed around so much anyway, it doesn't mean much.
  16. Great news. Not even in danger of missing next game? If Lovie expects him to play 6 days from now, then the concussion has to be mild, right? More than anything I'm worried that we won't see the same QB we saw in the first three games. But if Cutler plays and we beat Carolina, we'll be 4-1 and this game will be mostly forgotten. The O-Line is bad, but they've already proved that they can be good enough to win games.
  17. Am I the only one who remembers how horrible Fred Miller was in 2007? I'll give you Brown though.
  18. Is there a chance the Zombo hit last week has anything to do with anything?
  19. I refuse to believe after one game that the sky is falling. I'll be very surprised if Cutler doesn't play against Carolina. Him going home with the team is a good sign.
  20. I know. My point was that if you think the Packers are better than the Bears because they dominated the MNF game but lost, then shouldn't you think the Lions are better than the Packers because they dominated today but lost? Nevermind. It doesn't matter. I don't want this thread turning into the Bears-Packers thread we had last week lol.
  21. ERIK HATES HIM SOME CHICAGO BEARS!!! On a serious note, combining your comment with the fact that you think the Packers are better than Bears, does this mean you think the Lions are better than the Packers? By your logic, that is what you're suggesting. Also, the Bears dominated the Lions and barely won despite their own turnovers. The Packers were pretty much dominated BY the Lions but won because of the Lions turnovers. If you can't distinguish between those two scenarios then I don't know what to tell you.
  22. Poor Lions. While the Packers are still a dangerous team, I'm becoming less scared of them each week. They were just outgained by 170 yards at home against a team led by Shaun Hill. Their offense is one-dimensional (although so is the Bears offense at this point) and their special teams continues to be very bad. And while the Vikings are still a good team, their schedule is over the next four weeks is ridiculously difficult. It could be our division to lose. Don't mess it up.
  23. I think people need to start accepting the fact that the days of the Lions not being competitive are probably over.
  24. lol
