Rosenthal says the A's apparently are requiring one of Torres or Fraizer from the Yankees for Gray, which the Yankees won't do. He said we want to be involved but don't have the prospects unless we include Happ. FWIW, just saw a short clip on MLBN.
I know there's ebbs and flows with most, none elite, relievers but man I'm ready for Koji to be bumped down to below Strop, Rondon, Monty, CJ and Davis in the pecking order.
I was just going to say, can't wait for Dusty to have Scherzer go 120+ pitches in this one because last night they let the Brewers rally a bit in the 9th with a big lead
Strasburg to the 10-day DL, Dusty says he'll only miss one start. So if he comes back after missing only one start I'm sure Dusty is gonna ride him extra hard, since he's really healed up and rested or some horsefeathers.
Yeah, wtf, Joe? I feel like there were numerous opportunities he's made sense the past two series. Maybe he was just a little worn out from starting and they wanted to give him a breather before launching him into pen role. That's my only way to try and rationalize to myself. They wanted to give him an extended break from his last start moving back to the pen on top of having his first outing, out of the pen be a low leverage spot to get normalized to it again.
