What's the deal with Monty? He didn't pitch at all over the weekend and with Davis and likely Edwards not available today seems like bringing Monty in to start the 6th (or 5th if Joe wasn't trying to get Hendricks a W) and have him go 2-3 innings would be a wise use of his services.

I know it's the 6th and we'll likely take the lead sooner but a walk off win would be kinda fun. It's been a while since one of those for us.

Really dumb leaving Hendricks in. Pushing 90-100 pitches, 3rd time through the order and just coming back. Feel like he was left in mostly "to get the win."

Ahem... one of them hit 86. Less time lifting books and peer reviewed journals and more time lifting weights in the offseason for Kyle. IMO

Dusty said something along the lines of "we think he's fine." So I'm sure he'll have Strasburg pitch 100+ pitches and/or leave him in for like a 30-40 pitch inning in his next start.

Yeah, his velocity uptick recently is something. Hopefully it continues and he gets just a little sharper with his command and control.

to be fair, that was annoying to us too. Yeah I'd say most of us were annoyed, or at least worried about it, too if he ever dropped a ball doing it (which I don't think he did with us) but now that he has dropped a ball doing it with them I get being really pissed about it. It's adding a unnecessary variable to making a catch a little more unlikely.
