  1. Not that I was particularly worried to begin with, but I feel safe in saying no FA of any real substance is going to be joining the Cardinals anytime soon unless they either overpay or their market is completely gone.
  2. I'd like to see those peripherals at AA before getting too excited. A lot of our guys seem to succeed at A+ and fall off after promotion to Tennessee.
  3. There was a speculation piece written a couple days ago that the Orioles might make Bundy available in a trade. He's sporting a 3.81ERA and his peripherals are just so so, but I wonder how much all of that is dragged down by one horrific start where he went 0IP 5H 7ER 2BB 4HR. Since then he's put up a line of 49IP 31H 9.55k/9 2.57bb/9 2.57ERA 4.02FIP 3.82xFIP.SIERA likes him quite a bit 3.58. I wonder if a Happ led package could get it done.
  4. I mean damn, Theo must be completely sauced because that is just a god awful day 1. I don't even know if that's fixable in the next two days.
  5. Thus far this draft has Wilken trying to be the smartest guy in the room written all over it.
  6. At this point if it's not Rocker with one of these comp picks then I'm going to feel pretty damn awful after day 1.
  7. Rank 145......that has to be someone massively overslot coming right?
  8. I wonder if this is the dagger in the Mejia behind the plate option in Cleveland. The doubts have continued to grow despite the 80 grade arm.
  9. Lemahieu College bat who squares everything up and settles as an above average defensive 2B A guy that's like a 1.5fWAR player outside of Coors?
  10. The FO has definitely earned the right to make a pick like this, but damn I can't say I'm thrilled.
  11. I am a big Grayson fan, but #11 ahead of Libertore? Not sure I can justify that.
  12. Liberatore has to be the pick, IMO. I agree, but I'm really hoping not because I want to draft him in my dynasty and I can't do that if he goes to that pitching wasteland.
  13. The Orioles have to be salivating, Liberatore/Winn/SInger all there for them at #11.
  14. Very surprised Weathers is the 2nd pitcher off the board.
  15. I don't think the Mets have learned their lesson yet so I see them taking Liberatore. Time to run out and buy some arm insurance.
  16. MLB.COM spoiling their own "live" stream. The ticker above it had the #2 pick listed 30-60 seconds before it came up on the stream.
  17. Not going to lie I was really hoping that one of Kumar Rocker or Grayson Rodriguez was going to slip and be the guy, but there's just about no smoke.
  18. I'm conflicted, I'm happy the Cubs are probably going to pull this one out, but now I have to hear horsefeathers about how "Maddon was right" with it being said without sarcasm.
  19. There's just absolutely no way to defend how stupid this move was.
  20. I was thinking about that and Flaherty's most recent start today. They're still going to struggle to score runs with any consistency, but the Cardinals are going to have a monster rotation in 2019 and going forward.
  21. Outside of Vlad, Soto is your best bat in the minors ahead of both Bichette and Eloy in my opinion.
  22. Montgomery+Happ is about the absolute max I could stomach and to do that I'd need to feel pretty damn confident I could re-sign Manny.
  23. I regret nothing. I’d trade Jorge Soler 2.0 for Jon Lester 2.0 (at a discounted, controlled rate) every time I agree, I did not and do not regret the Quintana deal at all. The point was the White Sox made an absolutely horrific deal and they got James Shields who was getting paid 20M a year on top of it.
  24. The next time the random Sox fan is pointing out that the Cubs gave up Eloy for Quintana, as if it was a bad deal, you can now point to the fact that the White Sox gave up Fernando Tatis Jr for a broken James Shields. Tatis is now a top 5-10 prospect on just about every list and getting comps to Machado/Tulo as far as future impact goes.
