  1. Treinen nontendered. So many interesting options.
  2. Taijuan Walker nontendered and another guy I'd be all over.
  3. Would love to take a chance on the nontendered Aaron Sanchez.
  4. I don't see him listed, but I've mentioned Kipnis before as a guy I'd like to take a chance on.
  5. I've been on the Starling Marte train for a while and he recently said he'd like to be traded to a contender. I'd love to have him and I bet the cost is lower than Merrifield
  6. If I'm moving Contreras to Toronto, Simeon Woods-Richardson is a must. Super high on him and think he's a top 50 guy by the end of 2020
  7. Ew, no even as fun as Adell might be I like Canning quite a lot and he was really good until Skaggs died. After that he fell apart.
  8. The return for Bryant is reasonable, but Griffin and Nico for Whit is a huge overpay.
  9. I don't see how they can possibly keep him next year. This team has become a train wreck and he just keeps slamming his head into the wall doing the same ineffective things over and over.
  10. If the Cubs are going to take a good jump forward without trading Contreras/Bryant, and given their money limitations, I think Kim and Akiyama are your best gamble.
  11. I can't imagine Theo would want to pay him the 10 or so million he's due in arbitration. If he clears then maybe something could get done.
  12. Graveman signs with Seattle 1.5M. I honestly wish we would have grabbed him for that and filled the SP5 slot with a combination of Mills/Alzolay/Graveman/Cotton
  13. The Ray's throw something like Mcclanahan, Brujan and Ryan on the table and I'd be pretty happy. Fairly safe to assume McKay and Franco are going nowhere.
  14. Merrifield would be a great add if you can get him for a package where Happ or Alzolay is your lead piece, but from everything that has been rumored they're looking for a stud package and he just doesn't warrant it.
  15. Playing the Asian market is interesting. If they did something crazy like Akiyama,Tsutsugo and Kwang-Hyun, they wont, they could potentially fill 3 starter slots for between 15-20m. Definitely a lot of bang for your buck there.
  16. It will be interesting to see if any teams actually trade good pieces for James McCann and his completely unsustainable .359babip last year. I can't imagine they'd use him as a backup.
  17. I don't know why. I'm really not sure there's any production drop off from Contreras to Caratini/Chirinos.
  18. 4/73 for a 31 year old catcher seems like quite a lot even if Grandal is very good. That's going to be a disaster in a year or two.
  19. I don't think I've seen him mentioned, but shouldn't we be in on Robinson Chirinos if Contreras is dealt? He's 35, probably available on a 1 year deal and coming off a 113wRC+ 2.3fWAR season.
  20. Who could the Brewers possibly trade for Lindor? I can't imagine they're going to move Hiura or Woodruff, Burne's value is in the tank and, while a nice prospect, Turang certainly isn't the lead piece in a Lindor deal. I just can't see how they could get it done unless the Indians want a quantity package of guys like Burnes,Grisham,Peralta and Turang.
  21. Correct me if I"m wrong but Tsusugo is supposedly barely even passable at 1B right? Unless they're moving Rizzo I just don't see how it could work.
  22. What am I missing. Hedges is strong defensively but can't hit. Margot is strong defensively but can't hit. Munoz is enticing, but I think there's a very high chance Lamet, who only really throws 2 pitches, winds up a reliever as well.
  23. Sadly, I never really figured we were a realistic option since I'm sure he wants to close. That Atlanta bullpen has gone from a real weakness to very solid since the trade deadline.
  24. Pre-2019 status aside, I agree with TT that you can get more quality or fit than these guys. Urias' lack of power really hurts him as a prospect, probably why he's said to be available, and Mejia's got the same flaws as Contreras Urias added quite a bit of pop this year in exchange for some of his elite contact skills; granted it's hard to know if any power added in 2019 was real or a mirage. With that said, I think Urias is available more because they also have Ty France who put up one of the best seasons in minor league history. .399/.477/.770 w/ 27HR and a 196wRC+ in 348 AAA PAs.
