  1. Safe to say they're out on KB, not that the could have put together a particularly good package anyway.
  2. If you could get Robles, its likely that not much more than a lottery ticket comes back with him. Even on the high side I can't imagine much more than Seth Romero.
  3. In the sense that everyone behind Robles is going to be dramatically worse, you kinda have to look at it as a 1-1. Robles is more interesting than most names that seem to come up for Bryant, but it's like the 90's White Sox entertaining a Frank Thomas for Mike Cameron trade I'd say most hitters are closer to what they'll be at 22 tbh than not. Robles is one of those that seems more likely than most to improve some at the ML level, but he'll probably never hit like Bryant, Rizzo, or Baez. I think Robles has AS potential overall btw Of course he wont hit like Rizzo or Bryant. If he had that offensive potential to go with his defense, at a premium position, and speed he would be completely untouchable. It's unrealistic to think you can trade Bryant for a younger, cheaper and longer controlled Bryant.
  4. I dont see why Darvish would have to use Bryant to free up money. I think he might bring value back himself.
  5. Hey Theo, we want your young former MVP, but we don't want to give up anything you'd actually want. Do we have a deal?
  6. Seriously, if the Cubs can't spend even 5M on a need then it's time to just reboot this thing, but they wont and in doing so will continue to allow their asset's value to dwindle.
  7. No thanks. He's not as good as Rendon and reaches FA older than Rendon did.
  8. Sitting back and doing nothing is the absolute worst option possible. All you get is a mediocre team with assets decreasing in value.
  9. A .162 IsoSLG out of a 20 YO up the middle defender with speed and patience who also hit for average in the Southern League was really really good. League average was .123...Nico Hoerner put up a .115 IsoSLG in the same league over fewer PAs by comparison OTOH: I just noticed Pache's IsoSLG was almost .200 in that league! Still like Waters' overall bat more in the long run but get Pache now as a power/speed/defense guy above AA Sadly Pache's speed is wasted because he has no idea how to utilize it on the bases.
  10. Really not pleased about Lindblom. If they have any interest in competing in 2020 and have serious financial restraints then this was the move to make.
  11. Why? He’s only controlled for 2 more years and never cracked 1 WAR. He’s a bad defender, doesn’t have a ton of power or walk or hit for average. Not that it matters now, but he's only 24 and I think there's more there with the bat. With that said, Eloy and Mazara OF, that's going to be fun.
  12. Would really like to snag Mazara if he can be had pretty cheap.
  13. A lost less risk in trading for Bryant. You don't have the years of control, but you also don't spend near as much money and are getting prime years without fear of sudden age related decline.
  14. Just for fun, some packages I'd like to see which focus on 2021+ PHI: Haseley,Bohm,Howard LAD: May+Downs WSH: Kieboom,Rutledge,Romero ATL: Fried, Wright/Wilson
  15. This would at least be interesting as a type of challenge trade. Turner at 2B putting up a .350 wOBA and above average defense is about a 4.5 win player(or basically Ozzie Albies), and he fixes some current roster holes. And with Kieboom about ready you could at least squint and see the justification for it from Washington's perspective. i would think they'd be much more inclined to give up Kieboom Yeah, the Nats are all in after that Stras signing. They aren't going to trade a major mlb piece to add Bryant. I wonder if Robles is available, because outside Robles and Kieboom I dont have a ton of interest. Maybe Rutledge, but Crow,Garcia and Denaburg don't do much. If Romero could get his attitude fixed I'd love to have him as a tertiary piece.
  16. Always a good idea to cry poor, deal your best players and march out a marginal team in the year you're launching your new network.
  17. I kind of want Tsutsugo to land with the WSox. Him in RF and Eloy in LF would be very entertaining.
  18. Mancini is so bad in the OF and starts costing really money the next 3 years through arbitration. He’d have to come really cheap to me because that’s a big risk to try and back yourself in the corner with that potential OF defense. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think you could probably land him for an Alzolay or less package. I can't imagine he would take any of Amaya, Davis,Nico or Marquez. Or were you thinking even cheaper?
  19. What does it cost to add Mancini and Hunter Harvey? Mancini is basically Castellanos, but cheaper and Harvey has closer stuff when healthy.
  20. If the Orioles trade Mancini, they may be historically awful this year. This a bad look for MLB when you run out a team that isn't even remotely competitive and it's not like they're making room to give prospects a shot.
  21. With the Twins and WSox both in on Madbum and now that CHW lost Wheeler, the White Sox pretty much have to throw crazy money.
  22. Yeah that's absolutely miserable. Whitney's upside is crazy. But he's coming off an entirely list year. Lodolo is "safe", but is best case scenario mid rotation with back end more likely. A 3B whose bat is barely justifiable at the position and is just average with the glove. Then another SP with backend projections. The only guy with any projection beyond average is coming off a season with shoulder issues and a step back in command.
  23. 18M is pretty crazy. With that said, Soroka, Folty, Fried and Hamels is a solid 1-4.
  24. Given the monetary limitations, I have no interest in NC. The OF defense would be bad and there would be very little money to fill the SP/RP needs of a team that was already only mediocre with him.
  25. Not sure where he would play, but add Domingo Santana to the list
