  1. Cam Ward is headed to the 2024 draft.
  2. If the rumored package is correct, you absolutely are. 2 1sts, a day 2 pick in '24 and a veteran on a good contract. Someone said 2 firsts in excess of '24 first, but I'd have a hard time believing that.
  3. Tommy, you might have to nudge Jed awake if you want that wish list to have any chance of coming to fruition.
  4. I'd rather upgrade 4 or 5 other positions, then have to rely on Williams being a significant upgrade over Fields.
  5. I don't think them taking a QB is the most likely scenario. It's not so much that Poles is infatuated with Fields, but that I think he's probably ok with Fields and would love the haul he can get for 1.1.
  6. Assuming the Bears trade the #1. The Bears would have 2 1sts in '25 and at least 2 2nds. They have enough draft capital to trade up for whatever QB they want if it became necessary. It's likely no one is as hyped as Williams, but I think that's an easy risk to take if the going price for '24 1.1 is anywhere near the rumors.
  7. I've seen as much as 2 firsts, a day 2 pick and a good player on a good contract suggested as a return for the Bears while they stay in the top 5. That's pretty crazy. Imagine a deal at #3 with NE where the Bears get 1.3, '24 2nd, '25 1st and Christian Barmore. You'd still get MHJ at #3. You get to take Dallas Turner at 10 and between him and Barmore suddenly your dline is very good and paired with a very good secondary. Then use the 2nd on bpa and you still have 2 firsts next year to further improve the team or consolidate them to trade up for a new QB.
  8. We'll know a lot more on the 18th.
  9. I think the Giants are taking a QB if any of Williams/Maye/Daniels are there. Apparently Daniel Jones has a clause in his contract that after year 2 of his deal, they can basically get rid of him with almost no impact.
  10. If the rumored situation is true, then the DA bringing rape charges is an absolute joke. With that said, I find it highly suspicious that such a low followed twitter user would have this information unless they knew someone directly involved. I only mention it because it has picked up some traction in the Illinois community.
  11. If he hits 40 bombs and is adequate at 3B, he's going to put up like a 5 fwar season. I have extreme doubts about that.
  12. Most mocks I've seen have Maye/Williams in the top 3, Daniels in the 4-8 range and McCarthy in the 10-20 range. 2 months ago, Penix was always in the 20 range, but I've noticed him slideto the very late 1st and early 2nd a lot recently. Bo Nix is where I see the most variation. I've seen him around 15 and I've seen him mid 2nd round.
  13. There is 3 big needs, WR, C, Edge Rusher. WR and Edge can be addressed with the 2 firsts. Since it sure seems like things are trending toward them keeping Fields, I wonder if they do what everyone thinks and just trade down to like #3 so they can take MHJ or if they trade further back for a more significant haul and instead grab Malik Nabers.
  14. Maye has the kind of arm that can make absolutely any throw, but because of this, he tries to make a lot of throws he just shouldn't. He's going to throw a ton of INT in his first year; you just have to hope he understands that just because he can doesn't mean he should.
  15. Bo Nix completely dominating Liberty. He's 23/29 312 yards and 5 TD so far. I know his upside is a bit limited, but surrounding him with weapons and an oline and I think he'd be a really solid QB. He's the kind of guy who would thrive in Philadelphia if Philly cashes in their chips on Hurts.
  16. Also, I know it doesn't matter too much, but it kind of drives me nuts that Fields gets dinged for those 2 Cleveland INTs. The first one wasn't even caught the 2nd one was a hailmary that landed in Mooney's lap.
  17. You also have to account for that Minnesota game QBR that completely tanks his average because he injured himself and for whatever reason they let him continue to play for another quarter before finally removing him when it was the injury that led him to miss the next month. Oops went back 1 game too far.
  18. I just want to see Bears eliminate the Packers from the playoffs, I'm not concerned with the rest.
  19. I swear to god Love has wide receivers with no one within 20 feet of them and 25+ yards down the field, more than I've ever seen any QB have.
  20. Less than 2 weeks until the Cub Convention and, if Jed goes into that with no moves made, he's going to get destroyed.
  21. It's a no lose scenario. If he plays well his value goes up, if they win we get to celebrate beating the Packers, if they lose then that's better draft position.
  22. It's nice that we're at a point where I don't care about the draft pick, I just want them to embarrass the Packers.
  23. @raw As someone who knows far more about the details of the game than me, can you explain to me why JJ McCarthy is surging up projections to the point some have him top 15 and even 10, while Bo Nix is drifting toward being a 2nd round pick? It's not like Bo Nix is a no arm QB, like Carson Beck, who only puts up huge stats because that can work in college.
  24. I'll go on record, if the Bears beat the Packers next week, I just about guarantee that Fields, Getsy and Eberflus will be with the Bears in 2024. At this point the biggest question for me, would be if they take MHJ at #1 or trade back to #4 or 5 for a haul and take Malik Nabers.
