    Value is value at this point. I'd rather the guy who can't hit and provides value elsewhere than the guy who isn't hitting and provides much less value elsewhere.

    Yeah, Jeremiah Estrada and his 15.43 K/9, .55 ERA, 1.23 FIP and Bryan Hudson with his .59 ERA and 2.08 FIP surely wouldn't have helped the Cubs.

    I'm starting to believe, the Cubs might not be very good. Injuries have obviously been a huge issue, but if Steele doesn't find himself soon and if both the pen and Kyle continue to be dumpster fires, then this team is going to hovering around the 80-82 win range.

    Miller is a stud, no question, but the cost is far too prohibitive for a reliver even if he's really really good.

    So the answer was almost 10m for a guy with mediocre peripherals and a trade for a guy coming off a terrible season

    Though not specifically Bears related, it would be a damn shame if some special teams player decided they didn't care about the 15 yard penalty and just laid Harrison Butker's ass out.
