  1. Hilarious that 4 of the 5 starters have combined for 7 points. Meanwhile the bench has 25.
  2. This Morehead St team lost to Purdue by 30, Alabama by 32 and Penn State by 23, yet they're beating Illinois.
  3. Shooting nearly 50% from 3 because of course they are.
  4. I have them both in my final 4
  5. When someone starts with that meatbally crap like the player is a "winner", I instantly stop paying attention.
  6. 14 points at halftime, pretty pretty good.
  7. With the east being by far the strongest of the regions already putting Illinois at a disadvantage, apparently they also got screwed on their potential 2nd round match up. The committee had BYU not only as a 5 seed, but the #1 5 seed and had to reseed them because they can't play on Sundays. So Illinois got the overall #1 seed, a #2 seed many thought might be a 1 seed, and a 6 seed who was actually the #1 5 seed in their region.
  8. And? It's not like the Cubs needed to get under the cap to reset penalties, nor will they likely go over next year.
  9. Yup, definitely couldn't have afforded what is essentially a one year deal for a front of the rotation pitcher this team likely needs.
  10. I'm kind of hopping Poles trades Herbert. I wonder if a 5th is doable.
  11. With trading 1.9 almost a certainty as this point, I wonder if #9 and #122 to Cincinnati for #18, #49 and #80 makes sense. They need a WR, especially with Higgins wanting out. They could snag Odunze a #9. The Bears could go either Brian Thomas+Bralen Trice+Sedrick Van Pran on that or maybe Latu+Xavier Leggette+Van Pran. They'd still have pick #75 too.
  12. I'm just getting ready for the inevitable Big 10 NCAA tourney stuff. Michigan St the lone representative in the sweet despite that they arguably shouldn't even be in the tournament. Everyone else underperforms or gets into severe foul trouble.
  13. In fact they were the lowest rated 2 seed according to the committee.
  14. Illinois was the lowest rated 3 seed.....
  15. Purdue got a really easy bracket
  16. Whisky got hosed. Very strong 12 seed and then, if they win, they get Duke
  17. Illinois gets an easy road to sweet 16, but they have the strongest #1 and #2.
  18. Watch the committee completely screw Illinois and make them a 4 seed
  19. I suspected they may have taken lesser return to do Justin a favor. It's a good look, but I'm still not thrilled if they gave up a 4th just to make Justin happy.
  20. Who has said his quick decision making is bad? His short passing game is very good. The issue is sometimes he prefers to hold the ball and move around in the pocket to let his wide receivers get down field instead of simply taking the short pass.
  21. Who said he's a hero? Let's face it, most of the players we like from the present and the past are jackasses and horsefeatherss. Short of committing a horrendous crime like Wander Franco, or being in the nearly unprecedented tier of horsefeatherss like Schilling/Huff, no one should be blackballed from their organization.
  22. I still have no idea why it's a negative that he broke down in tears after that game. If anything I love that he cares so much that losing caused that kind of response.
  23. Yeah, I'd more or less agree with this. Really the only issues they share is that they both try to play hero ball and it leads to turnovers. If Caleb learns to take what the defense gives and throw the ball away when there isn't anything there, he's going to be a vastly better player. I still believe that Fields has nearly unprecedented tools and therefore ceiling, but Williams is the much more likely of the 2 to be an above average or better QB.
  24. Probably right since they lost the head to head vs Marquette and Arizona and I doubt Tennessee's loss moves them down far enough. Also Iowa State just took out Houston so they might even sneak into a 1 now.
  25. Horton has that kind of upside.
