Agreed. There's more than enough payroll to be a consistent contender. It's Hendry's job to use the payroll wisely, and if he doesn't it's Ricketts' job to fire Hendry and replace him with a GM who will spend it wisely. -
What monkey wrote this sentence? I think its pretty obvious that this part-time Naples resident and cofounder of Esmark, Inc., a Chicago based company, simply has the first name "Neither". Well, then its strange that Neither Bouchard was immediately available for comment but the article didn't include it. Just because he was AVAILABLE for comment doesn't necessarily mean that he actually made a comment. :D

I think that was pretty much a must-win for the Panthers. They just couldn't afford to lose to Miami at home.

This league is one of two I'm in where I'm the highest-scoring team but am in 3rd place. I was in 5th place with the highest-scoring team until winning last week, oddly enough. A stroke of bad luck has my two defenses going against Indy and New England, so I picked up the Cardinals D, which faces the Rams this week. Should be a fun matchup. Interestingly we had the Carolina RBs going against each other. This was Williams' week. Good for me in this league, bad for me in my other league (Stewart is one of my starting RBs in that league).

What a difference a year makes. Last year at this time I couldn't wait for the telecast of the Ball State vs. Central Michigan game. Tonight their game was televised on ESPN II and I didn't bother watching.

Ball State beat both UCLA and Kansas in Maui that year, then lost to Duke in the championship game. They were ranked around #15 in the polls after that, but then things fell apart and they only made the NIT. They did win a couple of games in the NIT before losing.
