  1. If more than one person remains they're all considered tied. There are no tie-breakers in Survival Football like there are in other contests. Unofficially anybody with no strikes at the end of the season could consider themselves to be ahead of anyone remaining alive but with one strike.
  2. Apparently the photos were stolen from Sizemore's girlfriend's e-mail account. MLB has asked the web sites that have posted the photos to take them down. Deadspin has refused. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4700413
  3. Breaking news: Drew Brees is good at football.
  4. You can just give me Strasburg and Ackley and I'll call it a day. :D
  5. A broken finger may do what John Fox would not do, namely bench Jake Delhomme.
  6. Bears blow. Smith and Turner MUST be fired, even though it means eating Smith's salary for next year. And Angelo MUST be fired as well for throwing away the #2 pick after already trading away the #1 pick for Cutler. This team is a trainwreck and heads MUST roll.
  7. Yes. Players are automatically on the ballot their first year of eligibility; there's no judgment involved. Beyond that they must receive a minimum percentage of votes (I believe it's 5%) to remain on the ballot.
  8. It's the longest anyone has lasted in any Survival contest I've been in. In the past the contest has always ended and been reset by this time.
  9. Don't worry about Cubicle Warriors; I'll take care of her next week. :D
  10. Imagine, a goose honking. :D
  11. Actually the end of the world prophesies for 2012 are wrong, because it's 2015 that the Cubs win the Series. Marty McFly told us so.
  12. LaRussa should have temporarily stepped down for a game or two at the end of the season so Schoendienst could have been the first to manage in five decades. That would have been a nice touch, especially after they clinched the division and the games didn't matter. For all we know, though, he may have offered and Red may have declined.
  13. I don't think so. I believe they vote in odd-numbered years.
  14. Well, there's always Aaron Miles. I refuse to acknowledge that Aaron Miles exists. He's a myth.
  15. For a golfer those terms could have a double connotation. :D
  16. Not Your Ordinary Rehab.
  17. It should. My comment was actually for last week, when the Bears were playing the Eagles. If my fate this week depends on the Bears doing well against the Vikings that would be even more nerve-wracking.
  18. That makes the Blue Jays the first team that both Alex Gonzalezes has played for.
  19. Major stunner: Ball State just beat Western Michigan 22-17 on the road. By doing so they eliminated WMU from bowl eligibility. 2-10! \:D/
  20. There's something wrong with this picture.
  21. I picked the Vikings to score the most points this week as one of the tie-breakers in the NFL Pick'em contest.
  22. He's definitely one of the great ones (even though he was before my time).
  23. My fate this week now lies in the hands of the Bears. For some reason that makes me nervous.
  24. http://www.naplesnews.com/news/2009/nov/19/Chicago-cubs-spring-training-naples-ricketts/ The Kennedy clan is everywhere. :D If that's the case, could we Crane to drive Soriano over the Chappaquiddick? He needs to take Aaron Miles along as well.
  25. Ron Turner says hi.
