  1. http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=305932&src=152 At leas they are considering it.
  2. I remember reading something a few yrs that Reinsdorf would pay the luxury tax, BUT only if the Bulls were contenders. I think he said it at a time when he knew the Bulls would not be good for a long time, thus not worrying about the luxury tax. Reinsdorf is the reason why owners cannot own two franchises in two different sports, cause inevitably one of his "investments" would be ran as a "side project" (Bulls) and the other would be run with the best intentions (White Sox). This is why I thought is was mindboggling stupid that Reinsdorf would throw his hat into the ring to buy the Coyotes.
  3. Yeah I read that thread on Realgm, and all of those knuckleheads were freaking out because T2 twitted "gone" on his twitter page. Nonetheless, I could see this happening, and if it does, I would like to see Blake or Outlaw included in the deal.
  4. And in the 4th? I assume forfeit when the Cubs get most of their players ejected for arguing balls and strikes. Kidding aside, that was a typo.
  5. I really like Beach and Aliu and I hope one or both will see some time with the Hawks this yr.
  6. Wrong. Bozos=clowns. Clowns are supposed to make people happy. Cubs arent making me happy. They're more like these clowns: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Killerklowns_1.jpg
  7. I am not looking forward to this series. In fact I may just ignore the Cubs until the 2nd half.
  8. Oh boy, we got the "Mean Street Posse" reuniting. Or are they reuniting the "Spirit Squad"?
  9. At the end of the Brewers series, I was looking forward to the Cards series thinking we can take 2 of 3 from those bozos. After the Braves series, I realize the Cubs are the bozos and I am not looking forward to the Cards series.
  10. Every time they play well enough to get you thinking, "maybe they are about to click", they pull this crap that they have the last two games. So apparently the Nationals are good enough to beat the Braves, but not the Cubs.
  11. I know there been enough written about Aliu and his 'tude, but he is a talented player who does play with a bit of an edge on the ice. If he can learn to use that edge properly, he could become a force. I really like Aliu.
  12. Apparently, against the Braves the Cubs are worse then the Nationals. Kewl.
  13. Will the game even make it to 5 innings before the rain comes again? If it does, the Cubs should win this game. Edit: Or atleast I hope the rains come and this game has to be made up later in the year.
  14. http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=924702&start=15 There is a nice little photoshop pic of Crawford dunking on Lebron in this thread. And if this is true that Lebron and/or Nike wanted all evidence destroy, then this really is immature and stupid. Like MJ got corssover really bad against AI and that is shown almost on a daily basis.
  15. Dusty Baker says, "fo shizzle."
  16. I get that, and last check the Hawks were even at the salary cap limit or they were over. Something has to give.
  17. With Versteeg signed, someone has to go. There is no chance the Hawks will go into next season over or even at the cap limit. Any ideas who go? Versteeg? Barker? Sharp, Campbell or Huet?
  18. I agree with you here. I like Versteeg but he isn't going to be worth his new contract if it is more then $1.5-$2 mill per.
  19. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/cubs/1654519,CST-SPT-cubnt07.article If Soriano is truly committed to hitting in the middle of the order, and truly don't care about hitting leadoff and wants to win then I could see this lineup taken off. He can't say what Lou and the fans want to hear, he has to be committed to the plan. If he does and the offense clicks, then a 3-4-5-6 of Lee/ARam/Bradley/Soriano can be a fearsome of a middle of the lineup as any team in baseball. Let's hope Soriano is sincere about not being bothered about leaving the leadoff spot.
  20. That because of the stupid rule of "every team has to be represent." And seeing as Cain and Lincecum made it from the Giants........ I wish MLB would seriously get rid of the rule. If the All Star Game "truly counts" they why would either All-Star team want anybody from the worst team(s) of either league on the AS team?
  21. You're right, Braun is a Good Ole Douchedag.
  22. I like Versteeg, but he is not a $4 million dollar player right now. He's more of a $1.5-$2 mill player. If some team wants to offer $4 mill for him, then....bye-bye Kris.
