  1. If for nothing else I want to simply forget the Bulls players that were on the team in the earl 2000s.
  2. Yes, a RB with over 1500 yards 15 TDs with under 250 carries, plus another 300 yards recieving and 3 more TDs is the worst Heisman winner ever. Not to mention he did in the SEC. I'm glad you don't have a vote for the Heisman. Yes both Suh and Gerhart did deserve to win the Heisman, or they wouldn't have been invited to New York, but to me the bigger issue was why CJ Spiller wasn't invited to New York and Tim Tebow was? Why are we not having fits about that misjustice? You can moan and groan about who won the Heisman, but the fact remains is was a close vote and even if Toby or Suh won people would be arguing the cases of those who lost. I don't know why people are upset about Suh not winning, cause Suh isn't. Everybody knows that defensives players are never going to win an offensive awards (fair or not), the fact that he made it to New York is a big effin deal. Stop complaining and move on. Crying like a woman during childbirth isn't going to change the outcome.
  3. I agree that Suh should had gotten more votes, and possibly should have won the award, but your post about Toby getting robbed was, IMO saying that Ingram didn't deserve it and that I do take offense to(even if you meant it or not). Yes, I've seen Toby's stats, but there is at least three games, and maybe up to five games in which Toby had his stats padded, where is at least three games in which Ingram could have padded his stats. Ultimately had Ingram been allowed to pad his stats against teams like FIU, North Texas and Mississippi State there is a strong case you can make that Ingram could have finish the season with more yards and possibly touchdowns then Gerhart. Ultimately you can blame the fact that Gerhart played on a west coast team. Right or wrong, Gerhart's name for the Heisman simply started to late.
  4. No not really, but that's ok. Really? So, Ingram- who faced ONE Top 40 rush Defense (UF) gained fewer yards in more games, and had 11 fewer rush TD's, didn't rob Gerhart- who faced FIVE Top 40 Rush Defenses? So, Gerhart had 200 more yards in fewer games, 11 more TD's in fewer games, and did it against better competition (with MUCH less help around him), but wasn't robbed? In those 5 games against Top 40 Rush D's, Gerhart had 11 TD's... 4 fewer than Ingram got in a full season plus a championship game. Yes, he got robbed, and your homerism sure looks stupid now. And you're hatred of Alabama is blinding your judgement. Toby didn't get robbed, deal with it. Just because you don't like the fact that an Alabama player won it doesn't mean Ingram didn't have the right to the trophy. For god sake, Ingram took 4 of the 6 regions. It's not as if Ingram took less regions then Toby and had to replay on m ore 2nd and third place votes. Mark took 4 of the 6 regions, had more first place and 2nd place votes. Again Toby DID NOT get robbed. Grab a beer and move TVC, cause your dislike of Bama is clearly affecting your judgement.
  5. There are two things I definately rooting to happen: 1. The Packers failed to make the playoffs and 2. The Vikings get run out of the Super Dome by the Saints. Other then that the season is............toast.
  6. I think it was because Alabama was blinded by the prestige of Purdue basketball. I don't know about that, but the young men are still learning CAG's up-tempo style offense. So I agree with Smack, as I think Purdue waiting till Bama wore themselves out and took advantage. Bama has improved from last season but they are still a long way from competiting.
  7. Shocked that you would use a nickname that Bama fans have use since the 1966 season. Nobody got robbed, the Heisman isn't fixed, the NZAA didn't get bought off, or whatever conspiracy theories that are concieved. One of the 5 best players in college football won the award, fair and square.
  8. I much rather get a bigger sample size then garbage minutes in blowouts. It's not looking good, but I am not writing him him off, yet.
  9. No not really, but that's ok.
  10. I would not have been upset had Suh won, (note: I am still in awe of his performance against McCoy and Texas) but I have so happy for Ingram.
  11. I know - I'm pumped. Two major things happened that led us away from Smart (or so a couple of people have told me). First, he wasn't going to be available until mid-January due to UA responsibilities, which wasn't a major issue as long as a deal was in place. Second, the Stoops interview happened. Jimbo was using it as a comparison interview to gauge Kirby against another up-and-coming DC with ties to Florida, and he was blown away. Even better, Stoops was available earlier than Kirby and would be able to recruit harder and get things in place due to less burdens. So we went with Stoops. And it's a great hire. Agreed.
  12. stuy; http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20091211/BREAKINGNEWS/91211036/1086/FSU+hires+Mark+Stoops+as+defensive+coordinator
  13. I've heard the guy who replace Kelly at Central Michigan, Butch Jones, could and should be a candidate. I think that might be good fit for Cincinnati.
  14. Agreed. Maybe the Bulls are waiting for Christmas Eve.
  15. You know me......NOT. I cannot stand Auburn, but even I knew Auburn got screwed in that season. And yes I supported the system then. The ONLY time that I did not support the system was 2001 when Nebraska having NOT played in the Big 12 Championship was selected to face Miami for MNC and lost 37-17. I felt then and still do today that Oregon and NOT Nebraska should have been in the game. But that's okay you can keep trying to think you know me.
  16. http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=342671 I know there are those who might not be in favor of it, but the fact remains the Bears are several players away from being a contender. So unless the Bears can make that kind of commitment this offseason to bringing in key FA, I think the Bears need to at least consider shopping Briggs. If there is one position the Bears seem to develop decent players is at LB, so shopping Briggs and getting a couple of draft picks or perhaps a young player and a draft pick in return might make the Bears better then keeping Briggs.
  17. The Bulls have lost 12 games and of those games 8 of then have been by 10 points or more. Not to mention the Bulls have been blownout by 28, 19, and 32 by the quarter mark of the schedule. This team is getting closer to those post MJ teams that were pure crap by the day. I cannot watch this team cause they are that bad.
  18. If the Cubs have to eat most or all of the contract, then I prefer to keep him. Essentially Dave is speculating that the only way the Cubs can move Bradley is if they give him away. Which is not what Hendry will nor should do.
  19. Gotta love the "mystery team". Theyve been quite active the past few days. I wonder how Scooby and Shaggy are going to take it when the hear about this development.
  20. At least VDN only has the rest of the year left on his contract. But man this team is beyond pathetic. The Hawks should evict the Bulls from the UC, and force the Bulls to play at the local YMCA, since they don't deserve to use a legitimate NBA arena to hold their games.
  21. W/E. All I know this constant complaining and whinning about the lack of a playoff system is beyong annoying. Until the viewership drops, and the BCS/NCAA, etc, etc,etc begins to lose money, then the playoff system will never be given anything more then a token topic to talk about it. And I am fine with it. So all this debate is pretty much moot.
  22. Nope, but nice try. When Alabama wasn't even close to sniffing the BCS, I still was against the playoff system. A playoff system is a copout by lower teams as they find excuses as to why they shouldn't join a bigger conference.
  23. i'd be willing to bet that within 10 years your prediction will be wrong. Not as long as the current system is profitable to the NCAA, BCS etc, etc. Nobody can even agree to the right setup for a playoff system.
  24. The Mets want to move Castillo so that they can signed Orlando Hudson is the rumor I heard.
