  1. I agree. But Lovie and to a lesser degree Angelo knows this season they have to make the playoffs and/or go deep in the playoffs, thus they could see TO as a guy that can help them in the way. The ONLY way I would do it, is if the contract is much less then what he has been telling teams. He is declining every year, and thus should not be paid as if he was still and improving WR. If the deal is like 1 yr 2-3 mill with incentives to take it to 5 mill, the Bears could do worse. But TO would have to know he won't be "the guy" in this offense, unless he earns it. I could definately see the Bears reaching out for TO, much to most people displeasure.
  2. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/czar-trade-market-to-warm-up-031610
  3. Eddie Williams, who they signed a few days ago.
  4. Also a good basketball player. From what I've heard Nebraska isn't the favorite. It doesn't really matter who's his favorite, as he will be drafted high enough in baseball to forego college.
  5. Sounds like he will have to earn his spot.
  6. Starling is also a heckuva football prospect. Supposedly a 4 star dual-threat QB with offers from schools like Oklahoma, Nebraska, Ok State, Notre Dame and Alabama. He may never see the football field, but if he does he's prolly likely to head to Nebraska. So Starling is definately a heckuva athlete.
  7. Yep, they signed Tim Jennings to a 2 year deal.
  8. I seem to recall some old adage that might be applicable here. Something about books and covers? Nah, I'm probably way off. I get that. It just caught me off-guard.
  9. In other words, it makes no sense and it's not going to happen. Yep. Utley/Hamel is not worth it from a Phillies standpoint.
  10. Fernando Perez spoke perfect English? I was kinda expecting him to speak similar to Sosa/Soriano and have the heavy accent. What surprise me is that Perez is an Ivy Leaguer.
  11. No surprise. It wouldn't surprise if Sheets puts up an ERA around 4.50 this year.
  12. Brady traded for Peyton? Hmmmmmm.
  13. That would be such a sweet championship game.
  14. I found this quote over on Adam Schefter's Twitter and I shake my head. Cleveland going from possibly getting Jay Cutler to Peyton Hillis and two late rd draft picks for Brady Quinn, is the main reason why they are the Browns.
  15. I like the comment made by Len about Starling saying, "your prospect has to have Star in his name." This is the first time I've seen Castro and those who have compare him to Edgar Renteria, I get that comparasion. I see a young Renteria in Castro.
  16. If this ever happen, the Phillies would own the NL for the minimum of the next 5 years, and I think it would safe to say we would be watching the next dynasty happen. But alas I don't think the Cards are THAT stupid.
  17. Losing a 3-0 lead to a Washington team that was playing without their best player after the first period, at home of all places, I have fully embrace the more-then-likely scenerio of the Hawks going quietly from the playoffs. I know some might be thinking I am being overdramatic, but good damn, this team hasn't been the same since "The Minnesota Game" and that was over 2 months ago. There are 14 games left in the regular season, and unless something clicks for the Hawks between now and the end of the season, I expect the Hawks to fail miserably short of expectations.
  18. With the Browns apparently traded Wimbley to the Raiders, i prolly would take Eric Norwood ..
  19. Kamerion Wimbley traded to the Raiders for an undisclosed pick, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com.
  20. No offense to the Packers fans on this site, but damn that new uni is uglier then the Bears orange jersey. That jersey belongs in a Dodgeball tournament, not on one of the historic franchises in all of sports.
  21. So what....Q has been playing who wants to be the goaltender today, too much. Pick a #1 and leave it there.
  22. Q needs to pick a goalie and stick to that guy. Since Huet sucks, I say put Niemi in and ride him till the end of the season.
  23. 7 in a row, with three more against playoff caliber teams (two of which are on the road) and still will not have Deng or Noah, and maybe Rose. Yeah, it is all over by the complaining. Anybody who uses the Bulls and playoffs in the same sentence are being disingenuous. Even in the east, the Bulls lineup couldn't be an NBDL All-Star team, much less an NBA team. Oh well, at least baseball is here. So the Bulls, who have been struggling while missing 2-3 of their best players, have no chance to make up a 2 game gap and get back into the playoffs. Good to know. They were struggling even before Deng and Rose was out. So yeah, I do think playoff talk is stupid, right now.
  24. Maybe Hinrich's goofy ass can drop some cheap shot on somebody the way he did to Rondo last year. Not sure if you are trying to just garner a response but I'm pretty sure Bulls fans along with 98% of NBA fans saw that event differently than you do. I didn't see Hinrich throw Ronda into the scorer's table. Rondo was definately the punk arse thug. So definately SSR was definately trying to get a response.
