  1. He denied that but I hope it happened. I'm Catholic and have no problem with his having fervent faith (it's great, actually), but shoving it down other people's throats is getting annoying. I agree, but I find it also as offensive that someone would tell Tebow to "STFU" when he's trying to lead a prayer. If you don't want to participate, so "no thank you" and move on. No need to be offensive to someone who is religious.
  2. What a crappy night of Chicago sports. I am SOOOOOOOO glad I slept through last night embarrasments.
  3. Because in some ways he is much like Rich Rodriguez in that he isn't as good as his hype says he is. He isn't a bad coach, and neither is Grant (who I think will bolt Bama at the first opportunity, mind you) but Bama needed a guy like Grant moreso then Smith.
  4. Neither Bama or The Barn are that attractive of a place for basketball coaches, especially high profile like Tubby. So I don't know why he would say he has no interests in Bama (thank the freakin' god he turn Bama down) but would be interesting in going to Cow College? I think Tubby to Auburn is more wishful thinking then anything.
  5. http://dennis-dodd.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/6270202/20528708?tag=comBlogEntryListCnt;entry20528708 Tubby Smith to Auburn?
  6. I agree, and I think Minnesota needs Frasor more the Cubs.
  7. That's a good guess, and prolly the most likely. But Toronto is still scouting Cubs players so the Jason Frasor rumors won't die down, just yet. So I wouldn't write that bullpen in anything but pencil right now.
  8. Speaking of, I spent some time trolling Yankees/Red Sox boards, and my conclusion is Red Sox fans are more disappointed that Mauer won't reach free agency than the Yankee fans. For what it's worth. In fact some Yankee fans are actual relieved to know they won't have to go after Mauer (since apparently, if a major free agent is available the Yankees must pursue them, I guess) since they believe they have their future at catcher set with either Montero, or Romine replacing Posada within 2 years.
  9. And what makes matters potentially worse, is that the Mariners coach Don Wakamatsu is already enabling Bradley: Umm.............Don, it's not a witch hunt when a player has a history with umpires. Bradley does not get the benefit of the doubt until he earns it. There's a reason why Bradley is on his 8th/9th team in his major league career. And very soon, the Mariners are going to be yet another team that tires of his act.
  10. This is definately a case of Milton's reputation precides him. But in this case, like other's have said you can't drop the bat at the plate, you just can't. But here's my question: what the hell is he worrying about the strike zone in spring training? Don't players use spring training as way to get their eye for the strike zone at the expense of say striking out? If Milton is going to be like this for Seattle, then they will be looking to move him after the season.
  11. No doubt, but you can't dismiss the fact that for the first time in like 10 games, the Bulls played a sub-.500 team. I understand that but for the four games he was out, the Bulls had lineups that included Pargo and Murray playing significan minutes. You can tell easily how bad this team needs Rose to stay healthy.
  12. The jersey of a Tennessee legend? Is that allowed in Alabama? :D Once he leaves college..............hey I watch the old films of Atkins, and he was beast.
  13. Losing to inferior teams is starting to piss me off.
  14. I can't believe how badly this team needs Rose. Derrick simply makes his teammates so much better.
  15. I've got 2 Bears jerseys: 81 Doug Atkins (my father's favortive player, and of course it's a custom made jersey) 34 Walter Payton. I plan on getting two more custom made jerseys before the year is out. I plan on getting a #16 George Blanda and #45 Gary Fencik jerseys.
  16. Don't you know dexter, that Betteman was so mad at Ovechkin, Cooke and Downie, that he took his anger out on Wiz.
  17. Actually his favorites are Kansas and Alabama from what I've heard. There's a a lot of talk he'll go to college if he's not in the top 3 rounds. He says he really wants to go to school. I think the money will talk, though. As much as I want him to come to Bama (and CNS is open to allowing Starling to play baseball at the school, if he wishes) I don't know if he will come. He's sounded positive about Bama, but CNS already has Jackson, McCarron and Sims already at Bama and he also is recruited Lemay and few other QBs like Bridgewater and Miller. So, I honestly believe Starling will end up at a school that gives him a better chance at starting QB.
  18. Prolly not, simply because there are rumors out there that Shawn's no longer seems committed to playing football.
  19. Seattle still has Matt Hasselbeck. So unless Matt comes out playing like crap, there's almost no chance Whitehurst is a starter in 2010. As for the statement s QBs and their primes I agree, but only if they have the weapons around them to succeed which I don't see in Seattle, outside of John Carlson.
  20. I resigned to the fact that the Hawks season is going to end like so many Chicago sports season.
  21. Geez, the Blackhawks are turning into the Bulls with all their depth crushing injuries. What a crappy couple weeks of Chicago sports. *waits for sulley* Hmmm.........what is Cyno doing right now..... :-k ?
  22. To get to switch 2nd rd picks and get a 3rd pick for a guy on potential, is awfully high risk for the Seahawks. I get the intangibles, but the man is 27 going on 28 already (in August) so the Hawks acquired a guy who should be going into his peak as a QB, but instead will prolly be making his starting debut in 2011 at what 29 years old. I hope it's worth it.
  23. That is the only positive coming out of this crap is that Law is essentially making it clear the Bulls don't need to re-sign Pargo.
  24. Wait a minute....Seattle won't part with the 6th pick overall for an Pro Bowl WR, but are willing to swapped 2nd round picks and add a 3rd rd pick in 2011 for a QB who is 27 and has not thrown a pass in the NFL? Call me crazy, but isn't that kinda dumb?
  25. Someone needs to tell Josh Smith, "no means no."
