  1. This game is pathethic. Have Boston on the GD ropes after two games and what the Bulls do is lay a frakkin goose egg in the first half. Screw you Bulls. Opps sorry, Boston beat me to the punch.
  2. I think that's a smokescreen. Maclin seems to be the kind of "speed" that Undead Al craves. I see Maclin going to Oakland.
  3. I hate to say it, but at this point in both players careers Lee and Hoffpauir are both platoon numbers. Everybody can see it, making Lee/Hoffpauir platoon at first base and you're likely to get a very good production at 1st base. Leaving Lee to be full time at 1st base and until we see a change the Cubs will get prolly less then average production. So, LOU, if Micah isn't going to play RF, where else is he going to play? His bat is better then Lee right now, so let's platoon Lee and Micah.
  4. Hunter Cantwell would be a great grab at 246 if he's there. Absolutely. If the Bears had that draft WF22 scenerio, I could live with that draft. The first three picks (Johnson---Bama to the Bears would be like heaven to me, Iglesias and Beckwith) would be solid value picks and added depth for the Bears. As for Cantwell, he wouldn't be a bad 7th rd choice, but he would be battling Heine for the backup job, and seeing as the Bears have a man-crush on Heine, he would be in a uphill battle. Otherwise, that would be a heckuva draft for the Bears.
  5. I can't wait till Bruce and Votto become too expensive for the Reds and leave the Central.
  6. hey hawks, the Call Gary Flames don't deserve to be on the same ice as you. Now prove it.
  7. Yep, but getting Kane back should help tremendously.
  8. Wait, what? Maybe four years ago. He's not close to top 10 now. Let's see: LBJ Kobe Wade Paul Howard KG--when healthy Kevin Durant Brandon Roy Carmelo Anthony Yao Ming You're right 1908, Pierce is no longer a Top 10 player. Then when you throw out players like Chris Bosh, Deron Williams, Al Jefferson, Steve Nash, Tim Duncan, Danny Granger, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, Caron Butler, Shawn Marion, and I don't think Pierce is even a top 30 player at this point in his career. About the "C game" comment, no way that is dead on. Pierce couldn't convince himself with this statement is true, much less people watching in. The "Truth" is, Pierce knows the C's are in trouble and they were bailed out because of stupidity in the 2nd game. I definitely wouldn't put Pierce in the top 10, but no way would I put guys like Bynum, Butler, and Marion even close to him. They're another tier down. Admittedly, mI put some players on that list BASED on potential and what they will be doing now and in the next few yrs .v. Paul Pierce. So feel free to take a few names off the list if you feel it necessarily. With that said, I don't see Pierce as a Top 10 player, anymore. At best he's a Top 20 player who is on the downside of his career. I think it was either Mash or Jalen Rose who said on ESPN telecast that when you see a 6'8 guy like Pierce get a breakaway steal and settle for a layup instead of a dunk, he no longer has the explosiveness to be considered elite player. And I agree. Pierce isn't a bad player by any stretch, but right now, Pierce is barely a Top 20 player, and yes the C's did play their best game in Game 2, contrary to what Pierce said.
  9. Oh, please let it be Adrian Peterson.

  11. I was totally impressed with Luigs when he fought Terrance Cody to a standstill last yr. One of the few games in which Cody wasn't a "big" factor in. After that game, I knew Luigs will be a very good NFL center.
  12. Sorry, I'm very familiar with Luigs. It was the final two (Ivy and Hunt) I don't know a great deal about. Luigs might be my favorite center prospect given where he's likely to be taken. Unger and Mack are both better players, but will both cost late 1st, early 2nd round picks. Luigs may well go sometime in the third or fourth. AQ Shipley and Antoine Caldwell (who you're quite familiar with I'm sure  ) are also very good value centers who can be had in the 3rd to 4th rounds and likely be starters in a year or two. Luigs was for those who don't know him. As for Caldwell, he was my favorite lineman, moreso then Smith. Caldwell was as reliable as a center could get. If the Bears and Titans could Caldwell and Luigs, I would be one happy camper. And I believe Caldwell could end up going late center depending if there is a run on OL this yr.
  13. When Theriot are fighting off pitches, he kinda reminds me of Chuck Knoblauch.
  14. For me I know nobody but Jonathan Luigs. And yes I would approve of Luigs because he would be a nice heir apparent to center for Kreutz. Corvey Irvin is a raw DT who didn't play much in college (injuries and UGA D-line depth) but has a pretty good amount of potential. He could start, if he develops. I actually like Derrick Williams quite a bit. There are others I'd take before him (Louis Murphy from Florida) but he's fast, can catch and can be an exceptional special teams player. Not much of a blocker from what I've heard, though. Munnerlyn is very athletic, but only 5'9. He's very similar to a poor man's Pacman Jones - short but his athleticism and physical play makes up for a lot. He's not nearly as athletic as Pacman, though, but he also doesn't have anywhere near the issues. Courtney Greene was likely to be a 1st day pick had he come out after his junior year. He chose to return, however, and his senior year was nothing special. If he recaptures his junior year play, he'll be a great steal for somebody. Joel Bell is a solid guard who can be a good player, but will probably need some time to improve technique and strength. The other two I don't know much about. Luigs, is a fine center prospect, who was the 2007 Rimington Trophy winner (nation's top center in 2007.) Luigs once went toe-to-toe with Terrance Cody and more then held his own against the big fella. Depending on who you ask either Caldwell or Luigs was the SEC's best center. So if the Bears could land Luigs, they would be getting a fine replacement for Kreutz.
  15. I think he means Offensive Center. But I am really hoping you were just playing. What is a defensive Center? I think it was a misprint on McShay, because there isn't a defensive center. I was giving what I thought what OC stood for.

  18. If you had watched the interview in which Pierce made that statement, you would not have made your post, wolf. PP is trying to spin it, but the fact and video remain, that was Boston's best effort.
  19. Why do people fall in love with April stats? Colour me impressed if you still doing great or colour me worried if your doing poorly through the end of May. 15 or so games does not a season make.
  20. On the flipside, Boston was a Paul Pierce FT away from being up 2-0. The major difference is the Bulls weren't supposed to win either game in Boston, but after the two games the Bulls should have taken both games.
  21. Thanks for making sense I agree. Don't lose the mental edge to the Flames. You (the Hawks) are the better team take the higher road.
  22. I won't go that far, but I wanted to see the Hawks flatten a couple of those cheap shot losers.
  23. I can't wait for Game 4 when the Hawks beat the Flames arse into the ice.
  24. That's really, really exagerating it. Now the Flames have to hold on for 20 minutes just to be down 2-1 with two road games still on the table for them. And personally, I don't think Calgary can hold onto a 1 goal lead in this game. I think this game will eventually end up 4-2 Hawks.
