  1. I really hope Brad Miller levels Rondo in Game 6 and dare the NBA to "suspend" him. I think Rondo is owed a hard arse fouls. Make that plural and I'd agree with you completely Good, now we're on the same page. Either send Brad Miller (you know he's itching to deliever a message) or send out Aaron Gray or Linton Johnson to deliever the message that the Bulls won't be intimadated nor walked all over.
  2. .279 .373 .458 .832 Those are Milton Bradley career numbers in the first half: 278 .364 .450 .814 Those are Milton Bradley career numbers in the second half. I'm not worried about Bradley. Once he gets going he will be an offensive force. Patience is a key, tho.

  4. I didn't say he would get more then 300 yards as a rookie, I said it wouldn't surprise me if he is productive like Eddie Royal as a rookie. Besides, if his hands are s reliable as people say he is, he'll quickly become a favorite with Cutler and the coaching staff.
  5. Again, the timing of this post doesn't make any sense. What is this, January? I agree Tyrus needs to go if we can get Bosh or Amare but I still think that's a pipe dream. I think Tyrus is ok, and I'm one of the biggest supporters of LaMarcus Aldridge that you'll find. So was Jay Cutler a pipedream. I'm not giving up hope that the Bulls can get either Bosh or Amare. The question is will Paxson make a "Jay Cutler" type gamble trade this offseason?
  6. Absolutely not. What we've seen ths series is that without Garnett, Boston is no better then the current Bulls team. And while I do agree that the Bulls do a "weird mix of players", I do not agree that Bulls don't have a true "pure scorer". BG is about as pure of a scorer as you can get in this league, the problem is he is streaky, but when he is in a groove (like he is in the playoffs) he is an elite scorer, but nothing else. Defensively, the Bulls couldn't stop the "Goldern Girls" from scoring, much less Boston. Other then that, I still believe the Bulls will pull off the upset and beat Boston in 7.
  7. I'm tired of this close game crap. The Bulls should be in the 2nd round already and a better team and a better coach would have already put this tired arse Celts team down like Ole Yeller, already. The Celts are not better then the Bulls, and the Bulls can still win this series. Better execution down the stretch needs to be stressed. Even if the Bulls don't win, there is no way the Celts get passed the 2nd rd.
  8. I didn't say Knox would be on the field as much as Royal was last yr, I said he could be this yr's Royal for Cutler on the Bears. I think if Knox can gain the confidence of Lovie Smith and Jay Cutler, he'll be on the field period. And if his hands are as reliable as his scouting report says they are, I would find it hard for the Bears to keep him off the field. Besides Denver NEEDED something out of Royal---despite not expecting much at the beginning of the season---to compliment Marshall. Outside of Marshall and Royal, Stockley was the only other WR(excluding TE) who was mildly productive. The Bears won't have to count on Knox as much as Denver needed to count on Royal, but it would surprise me if Knox has a very solid 550-800 yrds season as a rookie.
  9. I compared Johnny Knox combine numbers to that of one Eddie Royal and guess what...........it is scary have similar Johnny Knox and Royal really are. I think there's a chance that Johnny Knox can be to Cutler in Chicago as Royals was to Cutler in Denver. That's actually exactly along the lines of what I was thinking. Yep. It really is scary how similar of players Knox and Royal truly are.

  11. Yep, Rashied. I'm still hoping the Bears bring in Drew Bennett, because he would bring something the Bears don't have with their current WR ad that is height.
  12. To keep a R-L-R or a L-R-L going and insert Reed Johnson as a cleanup hitter is beyond stupid. This is borderline Lenny Harris hitting leadoff stupid. Lou needs to wise up.
  13. I just think Louis is just going to outgrow being a TE. If he can lose some weight and keep the 4.6 speed then sure keep him at TE, but he is supposed at 300 lbs right now, and quite frankly I don't like 300 lbs TE. I think he has potential to a better OL prospect then a TE. I much rather released Davis and bring in a guy like Drew Bennett who has some good size (6'5 a shade under 200 lbs) and brings a solid pair of hands and a veteran to compete with what I assume will be a very young WR core with Hester/Bennett and Iglesias and perhaps even Rideau. Davis doesn't do anything that Know, Earl Bennett, or Iglesias don't already do better. Drew Bennett would bring legit size to the Bears.
  14. Not from what I heard. Some may have recruited himt to "play QB" at Bama, but the prevailing thought was he was going to play LB for Shula. It was because he didn't want to play LB and wanting to play QB as the reason he chose Floirda. That and he had ties to Florida. Shula may have giving him time at QB early, but I guarantee Shula wanted him for LBer.
  15. I caught the entire 3rd period, and while Calgary did seem to outplay the Hawks early in the period (highlighted by what I call a luck goal) the Hawks remain within themselves and played a gritty, gritty period. Not once in the 3rd did I believe the Flames would tie the game up. It wasn't pretty, and Buff and Bulin are clearly the stars of the game, but it's a win I take any day of the week. Seeing Kaner get one early in the game was a beaut, and this game could have easily been 5-1, 6-1 or so with great opportunity late in the 3rd. Overall, I liked what I saw, and I believe Pahlsson might be the most underrated pick at the deadline of any team this yr.
  16. He's far too athletic to fail. He may not stick as a QB, but I'll be shocked if he doesn't excel with a team at another position. Here is something most people either already know..............Alabama recruited Tim Tebow. But here's what most people don't know is that Mike Shula/Bama recruited Tim Tebow as a LBer moreso then an offensive player. So there's a chance that somebody COULD therotically take Tebow and switch him to LBer. Not saying it's likely, but you'll never know.
  17. I still like Dez and I love his blocking ability, so one more year is about all he has left with the Bears. As for Louis, I know the Bears announced him as a TE, but one has to believe it's a matter of time before he's put on the OL.
  18. Agreed on both points. Tebow drafted as a QB only, would be waste of his talents. Tebow is a bigger Pat White, and if a teamis foolish to draft him as a QB only, then they deserve to have a franchise set back a few yrs. Tebow as a Pat White/Reggie Bush athlete and he can be a star.
  19. Those are value points, but I prefer NOT to go into the season with one proven TE on the roster. I like Davis' potential, but he is still prolly a yr away---if ever---to be a big contributor, and Louis I think ultimately he will be an OL. I personally think Louis is going to outgrow TE. I mean the league has seen a lot of TE become talented offensive lineman, ie Peters, Jason.
  20. One play in games 1 and 4 and it's 4-0 Celtics. True, but the difference is that nobody expected the Bulls to give the C's all they can handle.
  21. Darren Sharper signed with the Saints, back on the 6th of April.
  22. If Coach Rod Marinelli can get Melton and especially Gilbert to play anywhere near their potential, they will be crazy good in less then 3 years. Gilbert with some polish looks like he can be a beast on the DL for the Bears. And him jumping out of the pool is still damn cool.
