Welcome to PSU 1994. Penn St. defeats Indiana, but the 3rd stringers give up a few scores late, and Nebraska leap frogs them in the polls. PSU never had a chance, stuck withe Rose Bowl and Oregon while Nebraska ot #3 (Miami?) instead. Thus the BCS was born

Notre Dame vs. Ohio St. is akin to a White Sox vs Cardinals World Series. You somehow hope no one wins. Any combo of those two and Miami also qualifies. That O$U/Miami NC game was painful

Expect Damon, etc. to get big bucks - Ripple effect is also going to be felt next year with FA's like Mark Mulder (who is clearly better than Burnett) - Everyone seems to think that Furcal's contract is crazy, as he's not a marquee guy and he won't put butts in the seats.

Braves are pissed. - Cubs target Pierre, Gathright, Wilkerson (duh). - INTERESTING: Gammons says Cubs need a SS so Cedeno can play 2B.
