  1. I want your crystal ball. You're basically guaranteeing that Howry/Eyre will suck in the near future while Ryan will absolutely improve on his stats. The Cubs should hire you right away with such unbelievable skills of prognostication
  2. I'm hoping LSU and Texas' near misses knock a few points off their BCS %
  3. How can anyone's head be biggerthan Barry Bonds? (literally and figuratively?)
  4. I am glad the Cubs were in no way part of a deal for Ryan. That contract is plain lunacy
  5. That's that. In a way, I'm glad Penn State has one loss. This way I won't be pissed when they are undefeated but not in the Rose Bowl (entirely due to preseason rankings)
  6. Looks like a game Texas will "survive" rather than flat out win. Do they lose % points in the BCS standings?
  7. Back to a 1-score game. Texas can't put the Aggies away (yet)
  8. 21-15 at the half. Penn State has a lot riding on this (as well as LSU's next 2 games).
  9. Penn State won the regular-season title in all of the major fall sports (football, men's soccer, women's soccer, field hockey and women's volleyball). Football is #3 in the BCS. Women's volleyball is ranked #2. Field hockey was ranked #6. Women's soccer spent much of the year at #1 and is now ranked #3. Men's soccer is #9. Pretty solid fall! I just noticed that Penn State played 7 out of 11 games at home this year, are they doing that next year too? Next year they play 12 games, with 7 at home I believe. 4 Big Ten games, plus Akron, Temple, and a TBD team (since Louisiana Tech backed out....probably will be a Division I-AA team since everyone else's schedules are set). Only non-conference road game is at Notre Dame
  10. I know DePaul are called the Blue Demons as an offshoot of their original nickname, The Blue D-men. So what is up with the Demon Deacons?
  11. It's a sad, sad day when rotoworld is using The Score as a source of info. *sigh* Of course, if this is true, this quite a few moves for Hendry pre-Winter Meetings. Last year it seemed like he waited until February to do ANYTHING (besides signing Nomar)
  12. Cleveland Browns aren't a color. They are named after Paul Brown. What kind of Ohioan are you to not know that? #-o
  13. Ask JonMDavis, or go to his site. He may have it. I was walking home from work and heard it on the radio. Unbelievable. Sammy hit that homer right before I got to my door. EDIT: Seems to be the one NLCS game not on his site
  14. Now the Men's Basketball team is winning the National Championship! Right? Anyone?
  15. Anyone else excited that the NIT is going to a seeded bracket format this year? It's always seemed so random in the past In oth news, my Blue Demons have played just one game, losing to Dayton (I think). Lame
  16. My high school was the Little Lions. Yes, it's State College High School, and yes, they weren't original enough to not just make us a wussified version of Penn State. So embarassing.
  17. Yep, it's not bad. I'm making a trip to the logo store on Friday to pick up a cap and price out jerseys.
  18. If I read the schedule correctly, a MAC title would put the Huskies in th Motor City Bowl against Minnesota
  19. None of wich you get from a DH, so what's your point?
  20. I refer all to this awesome website
  21. In "The Simpsons", Springfield A&M are the Nittany Tide
  22. If management let's Joe mold this team of young 'uns without trading people out from under him, it could be a very rewarding challenge
  23. PSU definitely joined for the football, though the Big Ten has hurt some of their other sports. PSU Basketball is pathetic now. They used to be in the Atlantic 10, where they could fair pretty well against teams like George Washington, etc. Some of the "minor sports" are doing well, as PSU has won several conference titles in Wrestling, Field Hockey, Soccer, etc.
  24. I'm voting the same, and my examples are the New England Revolution and the Orlando Magic. Utah Jazz wtf. Yeah, I should have had a "relocated" category for the Jazz, Lakers, etc.
