The celebration rules this year are just terrible. They are WAY oversensitive to it. I saw a game where a guy dove into the endzone, maybe because he thought he had to (maybe not), but got flagged.

Not going to happen likely. I mean it could, if somehow the Sugar gets PSU vs. Georgia, but it's unlikely that the Orange (which picks before the Sugar) would take WVa over PSU. Not a chance.

Apparently (I didn't know this before tonight), the Top 6 in the BCS standings get automatic berths, meaning LSU/VT losses likely pushes ND and OSU into those spots, thus removing any doubt about their participation in the Fiesta. And yes, I think it's lame that Penn State will be playing the Seminoles. Especially if the Lions lose :shock: So it looks like: Rose: Texas vs. USC Fiesta: ND vs. OSU Orange: PSU vs. FSU Sugar: WVa vs. Georgia

Typical from the score, I just read the article and there is nothing in it about a trade. Phil says that the Cubs MAY make a pitch for Burnett, which would then possibly make Wood available. He's speculating on that, then it says Beane might be interested in Soriano and then the Cubs could possibly trade him for Zito. The damn score didn't even buy the paper!! You read the article that's not in the paper until tomorrow :?: :!: :?: :!: :?: Maybe where YOU live they don't sell the early edition of the Sunday paper on Saturday, he here in the big city, it comes out Saturday morning. Yes, but the sports section is usually held back until Sunday or else your Sunday paper doesn't have Saturday's scores in it. -
So do you people say "Geaux" to make it look french or something? Why not say "Allez Tigres"? I don't get it

I was going to as 100? I hate it when teams run up the score, but against Barnett, I could look the other way. EDIT: Not that Texas is running up the score. All they are doing is running and Colorado still can't stop them. They should not be caught off guard by the run. UT is classless. Against Mizzou, they went for it on 4th and goal near the end of the 3rd quarter up 4+ scores. bitter?

What's your problem with their NBA coverage? I for one like that they show exclusively games involving Miami, San Antonio, Phoenix, Detroit, Denver, or the LA Lakers. :wink: That many teams? TNT is ALWAYS Houston vs. San Antonio. You wouldn't think they would play enough times to make a full season of coverage, but that's all they play.

It's really true. Holtz doesn't watch the games he talks about. And if you ever read any of Morgan's ESPN chat transcripts, he constantly makes excuses for why he doesn't watch any of the games he isn't working. Plus Morgan hates sabermetrics, OBP, and anything vaguely related to Billy Beane.

T-minus 86 minutes to kickoff of the Big XII Championship game. As a PSU fan, clearly I want either Texas or USC to lose (or both), and LSU losing to Georgia would also take away any chance that the Tigers could jump the Nittany Lions in the poll. Not that I see this happening. Orange Bowl here we come!

Great post. Only thing you failed to mention was that Sisco went on to KC for a 2-5, 3.11, 75.1 IP, 76K, 42 BB, 1.46 WHIP year. Not spectacular (though he did lead the team in ERA had had slightly more than a K/IP) but worth protecting? Yessir! He would have been a great LOOGY, holding lefties to a .216/.297/.318 line.
