  2. I've been quietly working towards that job for years. i bet it pays in warm beer and stale nachos
  3. on a side note, how does one get a job sitting at Wrigley and updating the play-by-play on Gamecast? sign me up
  4. 6 HR in one day. I saw 7 hit by the Dodgers against Anthony Young one spring day at Wrigley about 9 or 10 years ago...
  5. damn, i missed my grand slam prediction by an inning
  6. this game is so funny i want to cry
  7. lovely. As they say, you can't steal first.
  8. Someone tell Pierre that bunting with 2 outs isn't a surprise to the opposing team when you try it EVERY TIME
  9. Grand Slam this inning! I'm calling it!

  11. Pierre is the fastest guy in the league when grounding out to 2nd
  12. nice. The pitchers are a combined 2 for 2 and halfway to the cycle!
  13. who called the Cedeno homer this inning? Homer, strikeout, it's all the same...
  14. I'd rather see Neifi pitch than Glendon
  15. Beltre, Blalock and Thomas are killing me. I have to hope some of you other people have bigtime entries on your lists!
  16. Damn, CSN. This will be the first game I miss this year (no EI this summer  )
  17. Someone with an account at CardsTalk should post this in that thread
  18. unfortuately stupid fans will vote a guy like Piazza or LoDuca as the starter regardless of Barret's numbers
  19. i know, you'd think he was a pitcher (*cough*sabathiacolonponson*cough*)
  20. My hate of the Deadbirds pre-dates my being a fan of the Cubs. When I was 7 years old I was a huge Brewers fan (lived in Racine) and the Crew made it to the WS where they got beat by the Smith/McGee lead, blue uniform wearing, astro-turf playing Cardinals. I have hated them ever since.
  21. my fault. either way, just 1 start
  22. Depending on what Washington does, the East could have FOUR teams at or below .500 in the playoffs. There ought to be a law!
  23. and........Chipper Jones is injured ](*,)
  24. Someone remind Rusch that when his offense scores 6 runs for him, a win is generally expected.
