  1. hey, i could've put Opeth in there instead. Or King's X.
  2. wow Black Sabbath is getting killed. Who knew?
  3. It's those darn postseason conference tournaments. They were 4-24 on the year but pulled off a major upset to win their conference and had to get an automatic bid. yeahhhhhhhh, that's what happened
  4. In retrospect, Dream Theater should've been a #16 (or not in it at all). Ah well, mistakes were made.
  5. me too. And not because of the Napster BS. If you watch the documentary "Some Kind of Monster", Lars is an all out prick pretty much the whole time. His sympathy for James' rehab, etc. is in the negative.
  6. as I look ahead, it's a real possibility Santana could be in the Sweet Sixteen as well.
  7. I think this is our most likely chance at an early upset. I voted Sabbath, as you have to give credit to the fathers of Heavy Metal.
  8. Dallas Cowboys are automatically disqualified about any discussion of greatest anything. America's Team my ass....
  9. Vote for your fav.
  10. like Hendry would pick the right guy
  11. I still have 3 players in single digits, two of whom are Teixeira and Abreu  :x  :x
  12. so how does the Bulls roster stand right now? G C. Duhon G B. Gordon G K. Hinrich G JR Smith G T. Sefalosha (unsigned) F PJ Brown F L. Deng F V. Khryapa F A. Nocioni F T. Thomas (unsigned) C B. Wallace C M. Sweetney then G E. Basden ?? G J. Pargo ?? G R. Livingston ?? G E. Piatkowski ?? F M. Allen ?? F D. Songaila ??? F O. Harrington ?? C L. Schensher ??
  13. To be fair, the Cubs didn't have a lefty batting practice pitcher for the first 2 Capuano starts.
  14. You just gotta: http://www.sign-arenas.20fr.com/hudson%20tip%20cap.JPG
  15. it's only going to get harder as the seedings get closer to each other, and later rounds are going to be excruciating
  16. Spice Girls? Gorillaz. Great band, but I couldn't justify them being pure rock. If I included Gorillaz, I'd have to include Beastie Boys and the like as well. Pandora's Box there True. And if you did that, Beastie Boys definitely would have to be in there which would knock off another really good Rock band. How long did it take you to assemble the list, anyway? Not too too long. I've had the idea for awhile, so it was mostly a matter of surfing the web for band lists so I didn't forget anyone. Then I had to narrow a list of 100ish down to 64. That was the tough part. That and the seedings, as I wanted everyone to be a 4th seed or higher
  17. Okay, but if Les Claypool played a 20 minute piece on bass before hand... Then Jimmy freaking Page would blow the doors out of the stadium with a 20 minute guitar solo during Dazed and Confused. Seriously, Claypool is good, but there is only so much you can do with a bass before it gets annoying. which is why I hate Rush more than just about any band ever
  18. Spice Girls? Gorillaz. Great band, but I couldn't justify them being pure rock. If I included Gorillaz, I'd have to include Beastie Boys and the like as well. Pandora's Box there
  19. Okay, but if Les Claypool played a 20 minute piece on bass before hand... listen, this is all apples and oranges (even more so based on how I did the pairings) so everyone can make arguments on both sides. This is why we vote
  20. Believe me, I have a lot of respect for Motley Crue. You'll notice that I've only included 3 bands from the "hair metal" era: Motley Crue, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi. I think these three rose above the genre and have maintained careers well past the fad (unlike Poison, Warrant, Winger, Slaughter, etc.).
  21. I disagree, but PF is my favorite band ever. You'll see The Who very soon
