    Absolutely, I could not have put it better. Throughout my teenage years in the mid 90's, when I was drumming for rock bands at party's and stuff, we played ALOT of Pearl Jam and Greenday stuff. I personally enjoyed playing drums on Green Day tunes because they are so quick and fun. Tough decision, but I went with Pearl Jam because I feel that Green Day has alot of songs that sound very similar. I'm not a fan of bands that stick to one formula of tune. I realize Green Day has improved in recent years with that, but I still went with Pearl Jam. I've heard that Green Day is fantastic live while Pearl Jam sucks live.

    Great idea! They can have a tent where the women can bring their boyfriends to make them Eunuchs (sp?)

    this is the first one that I'm truly having to think about. I own a total of 1 album from each band. I used to love them both, but have since soured on them (Green Day due to excessive exposure, Pearl Jam due to excessive smugness) of course, the winner faces a #1 seed, so it may be a moot point

    I like DMB if I'm in the right mood, and his solo disc is quite good. I do blame him for spawning the entirely unlistenable string of cute young male singer/songwriters. Jack Johnson, John Mayer, etc., etc., etc. I swear, all those guys should go on tour as a male Lillith Fair. All that said, the Pumpkins rock way harder and I hope the rumors of their reuniting are true. It's one band I truly regret never seeing live.

    Though "Land of Confusion" is one of my favorite 80's songs, I had to go with the Sex Pistols.

    KISS are masters at marketing themselves, that's for sure. But their music grows tiresome. I do have a soft spot for "God Gave Rock N' Roll To You", though I'm pretty sure it's a cover of another band...

    Alice in Chains is awesome. They were great live. The Clash can suck it oh, and The Clash begat Big Audio Dynamite. Yeah.
