  1. You have to hand it to Wood. He had a wicked $/IP ratio this year.
  2. I'm seriously perplexed at the outcome of this. Radiohead is one of the most original bands of the last decade, while CCR is countrified rock.
  3. If they had quit after Pablo Honey, I'd agree with you. However, I'm not a big fan of Thom Yorke whining over white noise. Then you clearly haven't listened to a single note of The Bends, OK Computer , Amnesiac or Hail to the Thief I've actually listened to every note of those albums. A group of my friends are HUGE Radiohead fans (i.e. drug users), and I've had to endure more than my share of their new stuff. Some of it's really good, but it's making it through the 40 minutes of swirly noises and guitar effects before you get to the real meat of the rock. Plus dude, it's CCR. You can't not tap your foot to those guys. The Bends doesn't have a lick of electronic noise anywhere on it, OK Computer is very much a guitar driven album....and why do Radiohead fans have to be drug users? I love Pink Floyd and Radiohead and don't do any drugs at all.
  4. It's great stuff. Speaking of which, what seed is Lynyrd Skynyrd? you shall see. Not super high though
  5. Who knew that Cub fans were such fans of John Fogerty's brand of countrified rock?
  6. What's criminal is that one of these bands has to get eliminated in the 1st round. it's only going to get worse on that account. The 8-9 matchups are killers
  7. Hater Nirvana was a cancer to music. They shall FALL! Nirvana saved us from a 1990/91 music scene that was dominated by C&C Music Factory, Snap and Amy Grant.
  8. why, which side are you on? btw, this is one of my favorite "Apples vs. Oranges" 1st round matchups.
  9. If they had quit after Pablo Honey, I'd agree with you. However, I'm not a big fan of Thom Yorke whining over white noise. Then you clearly haven't listened to a single note of The Bends, OK Computer , Amnesiac or Hail to the Thief
  10. If Radiohead loses this I will be ashamed of you all.
  11. Hater i agree with shavo. The Allmans may hold their own early, but Nirvana's 1-3-1 zone will be too much for Duane to handle.
  12. Nirvana vs. The Allman Bros. vote for your fav.
  13. Radiohead vs. Creedence Clearwater Revival vote for your fav.
  14. Eagles vs. Stone Temple Pilots vote for your fav.
  15. Queen vs. Rage Against the Machine vote for your fav.
  16. Nah, the bullpen's not at work yet. how're the Royals and Buc-o's doing this fine eve?
  17. It's a bit overplayed, yes. His best songs are Voodoo Chile (Slight Return), Little Wing, hey Joe and Red House.
  18. This would have been a great spot for sublime. No Derwood, I won't stop bitching about sublime not making it. Yes, I know, I missed Sublime. SUE ME

  20. Mark Twain: There are lies, damned lies, and statistics.
  21. Yes but its like the US Open. When you kick so much ass it gives you 10 years of exemption. In those 10 years you can suck like David Duval but man during those years you kicked ass you are still hailed as a legend for that time. Thank You. And Metallica still kicks all kinds of ass live. Robert Trujillo was a great addition
  22. Santana grabbed an early lead because you started the thread in the morning, whilst witches and demons slumbered. The forces of metal are marshaling their numbers and will reach full strength in the black shadows of night. well put
  23. Sabbath making a late first half run here.
