i like the new(ish) rule that regular season conference champs who don't make the NCAA tourney (ie lose in the conf. tourney) get automatic bids to the NIT

They better have this agreed upon before the football season. I missed almost all of the Michigan games last year because of the stupid Big Ten Network. that's funny, cuz I saw all of Penn State's games because of the GLORIOUS Big Ten Network

Remember that cory is a "5 tool player" according to all of us a couple of years ago. Too bad those tools were pretty dull Actually, the tools weren't all that dull, except for maybe the contact part of the equation. The rest of those tools were pretty damn good. Just goes to show how dumb the five tool thing is. and dusty and crew made sure his tools would never ever be sharp again

I don't remember a Cubs prospect (outside of Corey Patterson) in the past 10 years who the Cubs just let play without platooning, moving in and out of the lineup, or generally just jerking around.

Let's hope so. I'll even take Pie is going to be a SOLID player! He'll be solid and then progress to fantastic. I have confidence in Pie producing. I wouldnt have guessed it , particularly given the rant on Meph himself. If so, he loses serious credibility. only one i can think you're missing (besides the parrot) was the Soriano shot off David Wells (the backwards trot HR that prompted the Young/Lee fight the next day) -
i have to say, i'm kinda proud of Penn State this year. no one will confuse them for a good team, but to lose your best player in game 3 of conference play yet still win 7 Big 10 games (including MSU, IU and twice vs. UofI) is pretty admirable. sadly, they're just not the kind of program that manages to build on any success

can he? if he could, i'd say yes, right away. he could definitely play center if he needs to, to give pie a break. it would also give us an opportunity to end the great ryan theriot experiment. maybe we could trade him to minnesota, they seem to like players like him. he has not played SS at all in the majors

The refs did all they could to get Duke back in the game, but their shots wouldn't fall. A total phantom travelling call on a rebound/scrap for the ball that had Roy Williams nearly on the floor

i was wearing my ARam jersey at the time of that HR. I was in a hotel room in Cleveland, waiting to go the Jake to see the Tribe play the D-Rays. My daughters were napping so i ran around the room doing the "silent scream" when he hit it. I was totally pumped after that. Epilogue: Cleveland won the game that night on a walk-off shot by Ben Francisco :)

Then people outside of the SEC should feel honoured to be watching to BEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL CONFERENCE in the nation. And if anybody still thinks RB from Illinois is better then Jones, then.......I must be loopy. It wouldn't surprise me....if Jones gets taken in front of the RB from Illinois. You must be loopy. Felix Jones is the fourth best running back on most draft boards. I'd easily take Felix's teammate, along with Stewart and Mendenhall. But man, what a great honour it is to watch the SEC.
