  1. Penn State closes out the non-con 8-4 (8-0 at home). 3 of those 4 losses were at the Old Spice tourney. Geary Claxton continues being a beast, scoring 29 points with 10 boards and shooting 8 for 10 (3 for 3 from range) in the 1st half. With the Big 10 being really down, I can see PSU winning 6-8 games in conference this year.
  2. today's "never get off the couch" schedule will probably start by flipping between the Outback and Cotton Bowls, then switch over the Capitol One, followed by the Rose and Sugar. God I love January 1st
  3. the front 3 rows of players would need to wear ponchos to avoid the flying spittle
  4. agreed. i always drafted Vick if I was doing a fantasy draft to start my team. roll out, check down, take off
  5. yeah, that blows. screw Tennesse, i would much rather have seen the Browns in there
  6. Yeah hes got a fantastic arm, doesnt know what to do with it. Doesnt put any air under them either, they are cannons. Morelli has got to be the dumbest QB I've ever seen. Great arm, size, decent footwork and release. But he hasn't improved a lick in 4 years. He has no idea what he is doing on the football field. Penn State is one of the only football programs in the nation that regularly graduates QB's who are worse than they were in high school. they have zero idea of what they're doing with them. Joe's son is the QB coach. UGH
  7. because he's a petulant, 12-year old looking punk? How is he petulant, and how is he a punk? Other than be an average-good NFL QB that has helped lead his team to the playoffs in every year that he has been a fulltime starter, what has he done to make YOU dislike him so much? It seems that his greatest sin is that he isn't his brother. "Boo Hoo! I don't WANT to play for San Diego! Daddy, make them stop drafting me!" Your blind Ole Miss homerism makes you miss the fact that he is a whiny brat who sucks when the pressure is on.
  8. DePaul beats Detroit. That makes the, what, 4-37 on the year?
  9. have to deal with a lot of New Englanders in your day to day life in Indiana/Chicago?
  10. i don't know, i find it hard to hate a team that is just this awesome. i certainly don't love the Pats, but damn if they aren't amazing to watch
  11. because he's a petulant, 12-year old looking punk?
  12. when i saw it was 28-12 Giants, I told my wife "Patriots will win, don't worry".
  13. never bet against Penn State in bowl games. no matter how craptacular their regular season, they always seem to win in the post-season
  14. no team should be in a bowl game if losing said bowl game will result in a losing record on the season
  15. i am completely ambivalent about this PSU game tonight
  16. speaking of JJ Reddick, who DOESN'T love those instructional videos calling him the best pure shooter ever?
  17. Rick Neuhisal, some on down
  18. good to know that athletes keep getting smarter
  19.
  20. Tom Bradley (DC at PSU) has denied being contacted by WVU, which means he's absolutely interviewing
  21. And, those who took the over just won. see? too bad i don't gamble
  22. First rule of the Holiday Bowl: ALWAYS take the over
  23. sure, it's not mutually exclusive. but there is a reason Alabama and Auburn fans are so nuts about their schools. Generally speaking, the Alabama and Auburn fans that are maniacal, unreasonable didn't attend either school nor any university for that matter. Is Alabama the only state in which that occurs? Ohio State - Michigan is a huge rivalry. There aren't uneducated people in that portion of the nation that speak confidently yet inaccurately about their programs? i spoke nothing of uneducated. My point simply was that for states without NFL teams, the college team BECOMES the NFL team (in terms of fan loyalty, etc.). One could (correctly) say the same for Oklahoma, Nebraska, etc. My statement was in no way negative towards those fans
  24. sure, it's not mutually exclusive. but there is a reason Alabama and Auburn fans are so nuts about their schools.
  25. I don't blame SEC fans for being maniacal about their football. For many of them, it's all they have: Big 10 states with pro teams: Indiana: Colts Illinois: Bears Ohio: Browns, Bengals Pennsylvania: Steelers, Eagles Michigan: Lions Minnesota: Vikings Wisconsin: Packers Iowa: n/a SEC states with pro teams: Florida: Jaguars, Dolphins, Bucs Louisiana: Saints Tennessee: Titans Georgia: Falcons Kentucky: n/a Alabama: n/a Mississippi: n/a Arkansas: n/a South Carolina: n/a
