  1. anyone think Hendry listens to this and cringes? apparently Kenney doesn't understand the term "close to the vest"
  2. maybe you should make your Keeper League pick first ;)
  3. i don't want a sullen Crisp on this team I don't think he'd be a good influence on Pie as he'd want to play 150 games or so but I'm sure his injuries would reduce that to 110 or less. Since when do people care about clubhouse presence on this board? I thought that was a clear railing point. No, that's not what I'm referring to. Crisp has said he wants to play and he isn't interested in platooning. right. i don't think he's a bad guy, just saying that a guy who is demanding a trade because he wants to start isn't likely to be a great addition to a team that doesn't intend to start him
  4. I bet you're happy. The Bears can't be his personal bitch anymore. except the part where he went 0-2 against them last year.
  5. oh the irony.....rumors are back on Crisp and neither Meph nor Hoops are here anymore to slap fight about it
  6. That's funny. he wasn't the best, but i liked him
  7. as an exercise in boredom, the good/bad first round Big 10 running backs since 1990: 1990: Blair Thomas (bad), Darrell Thompson (bad) 1991: Jarrod Bunch (bad) 1992: Vaughn Dunbar (bad) 1993: Robert Smith (good) 1994: none 1995: Ki-Jana Carter (bad), Tyrone Wheatley (average) 1996: Tim Biakabatuka (bad), Eddie George (good) 1997: none 1998: Curtis Enis (bad) 1999: none 2000: Ron Dayne (average) 2001: Michael Bennett (bad) 2002: T.J. Duckett (average) 2003: Larry Johnson (good) 2004: Chris Perry (bad) 2005: none 2006: Laurence Maroney (good) 2007: none recap: 4 good, 3 average, 9 bad
  8. Last night on Sports Central Kaplan asked that exact question and the Baltimore writer said he thought the O's would be happy to have Pie (not Murton) play LF for them. Pie's value is so much lower as a corner outfielder. Baltimore is dumb, but we already knew this
  9. Well, that's how it works in the NCAA tournament also, just standard bracketing. Really, especially in this conference this year, there's little difference between even the 6 and the 11...well, 10 seeds. i like reseeding tournaments a la the NFL personally. that wouldn't work in the NCAA's, of course, due to the multiple locations of the first rounds
  10. also, to be eligible to win the money, you have to give address/email/phone # information. according to Yahoo's privacy policy: Information Collection and Use Practices * When you enter a promotion, sweepstakes, or contest hosted by Yahoo! or sponsored by Yahoo! and/or our many partners, we ask for your name, address, and email address. * You may be asked to provide additional information or to answer certain questions, some of which may be optional, in order to participate. * We may contact you in connection with a particular promotion, such as a sweepstakes or contest, in order to update you of your status, administer the promotion, let you know that a promotion has ended, and for other purposes. 11. password is actually nsbb (all lower case), not NSBB either way, i'm Where's DePaul?
  12. btw, anyone know what Tom Goodwin is up to these days?
  13. i'm not sure why they'd want Pie unless they would plan to spin either Pie or Jones in another trade. why trade for two CF prospects in the same off season?
  14. i'm not certain, but i think the tiebreaker in that case would be their record against the top four teams. basically, whoever has the better combined record against IU, PU, MSU and WISC. and does the #1 seed always face the 6 vs. 11 winner, or do they reorder so they play lowest surviving seed? The 1 seed always faces the 8-9 winner (which right now would be Michigan/Iowa). 2 seed faces 7/10 winner (PSU/Illinois), 3 seed faces 6/11 winner. Tiebreaker after head-to-head is record vs. best teams in the conference. So, it would be record vs. Wisconsin, then Purdue, then IU, then MSU, and on down. seems dumb that your 3 seed could potentially face the 11 seed while the 1 seed is facing the 8, but whatever
  15. sadly, by the time the get their ish together on offense, guys like Urlacher will be past their prime or on another team
  16. we need more threads about this

  20. assuming Ohio State and Minnesota finish with the same conference record, how do they determine who gets the first round bye? they are 1-1 head-to-head. if the Big 10 were to end today, Wisconsin would be the #1, Purdue #2, Indiana #3, MSU #4 and OSU/MINN #5/#6. First round matchups would see OSU/MINN vs. Northwestern, PSU vs. UofI and Iowa vs. Michigan and a guaranteed second round matchup of MSU vs. OSU/MINN
