  1. the Royals have a player named Patrick Bateman?
  2. the NCAA owns the NIT now, so no, they wouldn't So what they could do is have X amount of the losing teams play in the NIT. I think this could actually work. sure, have 4 play-in games among 8 bubble teams. The winners get, say, the four #12 seeds in the NCAA and the losers are the #1 seeds in the NIT. way too "radical" an idea for the old men in charge to consider, of course
  3. "Matsui won't be in the lineup for the next few days. He has an anus."
  4. damn, stupid Rays are starting Longoria in AAA. guess that guy is warming my bench for awhile :x
  5. i'd do away with the play-in game at this point too.

  7. 180. Kelvim Escobar 181. Chad Cordero 182. Luke Scott 183. Ian Snell
  8. i mean, maybe they got screwed, but they'd lose in the first or second round anyway. that's why i really don't feel too bad for bubble teams that don't get in. That brings up a good point, has a 11, 12 or 13 seed at large team ever made the Final Four? Off the top of my head, both LSU (1986) and George Mason (2006) made the Final Four as 11-seeds. but George Mason wasn't an at large, right?
  9. i mean, maybe they got screwed, but they'd lose in the first or second round anyway. that's why i really don't feel too bad for bubble teams that don't get in. which is why two bubble teams should have to play the tuesday play-in game to get in as the 12 seed or something Yeah, they just said that on Mike and Mike. What do you guys think about Bobby Knights idea of having 128 teams? It is just one more game. no way to 128 teams. I don't need to see the 4th place team from the Sun belt get in. Ha ha ha, who am I kidding? The Sun Belt would still only get one team in while the entire Big East and ACC would get in twice

  11. well, they faced a much better team
  12. I'd venture to guess that most White Sox fans think Crede is better when he's healthy. I'd venture that those people are all idiots. Crede has no business being compared to Ramirez, ever. What's even funnier is that Crede gets props for GRIT, but Ramirez plays hurt most of every season and gets ragged on for being soft. If only he could grow a mullet... hispanic guys don't have grit
  13. but will be blocked by Corey Patterson
  14. the 700 wlw morons are in love with dusty. when i was listening to them yesterday, they were praising how dusty has the balls to give scott hatteberg the leg-up in the 1st baseman competition because votto is having a crappy spring, and how they agreed that votto needed to prove himself at aaa louisville. it's all pretty hilarious. I've heard those guys plenty. Dusty is this perfect manager for them. With their anti-Dunn bias and Baker egging him on to stop walking, it could make for interesting listening. yeah, those were the guys I heard. I was searching AM radio for the March Madness brackets but had them talking about Dusty instead
  15. 170. Johnny Damon 171. Felix Pie 172. Jack Cust 173. Jeff Francoeur 174. Alex Gordon 175. Rafael Furcal 176. Jonathan Broxton 177. Jered Weaver 178. Carlos Marmol
  16. what teams do you have an issue with? just seems like they dismissed conf. tourney results in some instances and regular season in others (more in terms of seeding than who was in our out). Tennessee should NOT be in the same regional as UNC. Kansas shouldn't have to potentially play Texas in Houston in the Elite 8. Arizona St. got shafted. also, does anyone else think the play-in game should be between two at-large teams? i think that if you earn an automatic bid to the tourney, you should be in period. or eliminate the play-in game, which is altogether lame to begin with Kansas and Texas are on opposite sides of the bracket and can't play until the final. sorry, I meant Memphis
  17. Cedeno is out of options, so if they keep Cintron, Cedeno has to stick too or be released
  18. a hot dog is just an excuse to eat a mustard and onion sandwich
  19. i'm Where's Penn State?
  20. dude, seriously. i was at a game once and was sitting in the 2nd to last row of the upper deck. the douchenozzle behind me decided to piss in his beer cup. NOT COOL
  21. i was in Cincy yesterday and happened to catch a snippet of the local call-in show. a cubs fan called in to warn them about dusty (though we wasn't very articulate) and the hosts downplayed it and said they had supreme confidence in baker. so deluded

MSU seeded above Purdue? ASU out in favor of Arizona, who they beat twice in the regular season (and finished higher in the regular season)? i half agreed with Mike&Mike this morning with their notion that college basketball may need a more complex (gulp, BCS-ish) formula for ranking teams
