  2. Something has to give soon right? Don't pitchers and catchers report in like 2 weeks? Half the market is still unsigned.
  3. Hey, I wanted them to get him.....5 years ago! Still, a cheap, serviceable outfielder who plays good defense and isn't useless with the bat. Not a bad 5th-6th outfielder option.
  4. Yeah, the Astros though are an interesting trade partner because they have a full rotation. Guys like McHugh and Peacock are currently slated for the pen. I wonder what it would cost to get either of them.
  5. I tagged Thomas Ian Nicholas in my tweet about loving the Cubs because I loved the movie Rookie of the Year when I was like 5 and he like the tweet and responded with a few quotes from the movie.
  6. Yeah I listened to an interview Theo gave about a year ago, and he credits Kevin Towers a lot for teaching him about how a FO works and giving him a chance. Lots of people inside the game liked the guy. Yeah I heard that too. Seemed like a good guy.
  7. Would it be odd or a waste of resources to go full time 6 man rotation? Or rotate Monty and Chatwood out of the 5 spot? I'm just trying to think of ways to maximize depth and help with health and injuries.
  8. We're just gonna like sign Hellickson and call it an offseason aren't we?
  9. Could pave the way for the Royals signing Hosner. And an old friend alert:
  10. Player may sign soon. But they might not. Team A is the front-runner but other teams involved. I didnt read the post, I just saw "Heyman special" and took a guess.
  11. You also have teams like the Phillies with a big need for a SP and a lot of money but still on the fringe of competing. I'm sure they could offer close to asking price for Arrieta or Darvish but I could see them not wanting to go to a club that is in rebuilding mode for another year or two still.
  12. The Rays just signed a guy named Forrest Snow, which sounds totally made up. I looked him up, and well, he enjoys Seattle. Then spend 2010-2016 with Seattle before being released.
  13. Everyone wake up the stove is on fire!
  14. So who wanted a Mike Freeman return? [tweet] [/tweet]
  15. Giants signed Austin Jackson to a 2-year deal. Reports are they want him as their 4th outfielder and are still looking. Things are "heating up" (relatively).
  16. Jon Singleton just received a 100-game suspension for another failed drug test. 'member him?
  17. It really could be nothing but the Giminez signing reminds me of Ross when we were trying to land Lester.
  18. Lol how petty is this? [tweet] [/tweet]
  19. Am I the only one who never knew this?
  20. "Chicks dig the long ball", not "Chicks dig outfielders with above average UZR scores"
  21. THINGS ARE HAPPENING! Also I can't believe Bruce is just 30.
  22. I'd too assume Happ and Almora would be in that trade. Albertos is a really nice prospect but he's so far away from the majors. If it's those three plus another prospect (de la Cruz, Hatch, Zagunis, Wilson, etc), I don't think that's unreasonable and I'd take that deal.
