    i've already been sold on the guy for a long time. Still will not get my hopes up, it would be too awesome, and Hendry doesn't usually do awesome things. I don't know about that. He's come up big with mid-season trades... He pretty much stole A-Ram and Lofton from the Pirates.

    For those starting to drool at the possibility: Dunn is a career .302 hitter at Wrigley with 17 homers, the 2nd most he's hit in active stadiums (Cinergy Field doesn't count anymore and GAB is obviously number one).

    I've been a big supporter of Kielty for a few years. He mashes lefties and has a good OBP. However, Kielty cannot help this team much and acquiring him at the present time is kinda pointless.

    Sizemore is probably one of the most untouchable players in all of baseball. Fine, I'll settle for Carl Crawford. :D

    An idea that most of us have thought of, and I'm sure Hendry has been toying with the idea. Another instance of Phillips telling us something we already know. But, as long as we don't give up much, I would not mind seeing: Lofton Riot Lee Ramirez Soriano DeRosa Floyd Fontenot Kendall Not great but it is better than some of the lineups we've thrown out this year, and it gives more potential of better run production. Personally, I'd rather see us acquire Grady Sizemore, put him in right and bat him leadoff. Guess I'm gonna be left dreaming on that one.

    The Kearns trade last year proved he isn't exactly the sharpest tool in the shed. But agreed, ths would be a really really really dumb move for the Reds. Hendry should definitely get in the middle of this, but he probably won't.

    Ditto. Yanks will be buyers. Again. I think Dmitri Young is headed to NY. With all that money, all that pressure to win, and being a mere 6/7 games out of the playoffs--in mid-July, no less--there is no chance they are sellers. The Cubs' best opportunities for trades will be with the usual suspects. Attention Jim Hendry: just hang up the phone when Baltimore calls. Please. Andy Phillips has been playing rather well since he was called up and has been clutch for them. Everything is clicking for them right now and I don't see them upgrading at first base quite yet.
