  1. I am shocked to see Fuld get a call-up. It's not that he's not good, he is. He's jsut not on the 40 man and he was not one of the guys I would have figured getting a call-up
  2. Not sure, but I know Jon Heyman is not a fan of such stats. IIRC he recently bashed VORP.
  3. I did a double take.
  4. I'm in as Brodeur is tops.
  5. Sounds about right.
  6. Can I get an amen?
  7. I was one of those people. That was total insanity and I enjoyed every minute of it.
  8. Colt Brennan- 411 passing yards and 6 TDs and it's not halftime yet.
  9. That's a pretty small sample size. Though, I did doubt he'd have much of a career with the Cubs.
  10. And I thought we had a lopsided game. Oklahoma won 79-10
  11. He did it! Congrats to Clay
  12. Oh yeah. Central Florida beat NC State 25-23. No way
  13. As I left, me and a few hundred people who were exiting watched the Michigan game from the TVs on the ground level. It was unbelievably insane. We all jumped around and screamed after that last blocked FG. My throat is sore from screaming.
  14. Counsell. He's not good at all, yet he's still on a big league roster. And yes, his batting stance is the most ridiculous thing ever and he should be beat up for it.
  15. Imagine what his OPS would look like if wasn't hitting below the Mendoza line. I suspect he'll haunt us at some point in September.
  16. *pinch* Crap, I'm not dreaming. This is a bad trade. Cherry and Moore were never going to be great in the majors, but they are both better than Trachsel. :x
  17. Ummm no. The MVP rarely goes to pitchers, let alone middle releivers.
  18. As was Micah Owings. That one stung. I really liked Owings in the draft and was hoping the Cubs would spend the money. Oh well, at least they got Eric Patterson between the two. Most people seemed to think they wouldn't get both. I felt the same way. I was hoping we'd sign him, and was worried we'd end up with neither after Owings spurned us. Thankfully, EPatt signed.
  19. A few years ago, Larry Walker, Cliff Floyd, Pedro Martinez, Moises Alou, and Randy Johnson would have made them pretty good. And they would currently have Grady Sizemore.
  20. Congrats Geo. I would have rather seen him starting on the big league club though.
  21. My brother (a Yankee fan) is a huge fan also. He got disappointed when they let him go.
  22. I would have liked to hold on to Rapada, but it's not the end of the world.
  23. If it makes a difference, Steve Phillips said we'd win the division.
  24. Why must you torment us so? Actually, I should have seen this coming.
  25. Tomko is very average. We don't need another average player on the team.
