  1. I can't wait for the ND game. One of my cousins went to ND and most of my family on my dad's side are ND fans. My dad is one of the few exceptions (he's a PSU fan). They were busting me about that game the other day, so I want something to brag about at the next family gettogether.
  2. I forgot that Cedeno was still on the big league club. He was rarely used and certainly did nothing memorable during the call-up.
  3. Both of those guys are young and their stats are pretty good. Did the Mets get hosed, or are neither of these guys considered legitimate prospects?
  4. I remember when we drafted him, and everytime I see him have a good start this year, all I think about is how he should be in a Cub uniform.
  5. Interesting, to say the least. He's got future all-star written all over him, but it's kinda early to be calling him up.
  6. Just saw this, My day was made :D
  7. I jsut checked the boxscore and did I see correctly? Ryan Jorgenson, former Cub, Ryan Jorgenson took Lilly yard for his first MLB hit? Dang...
  8. Not really surprising. All 3 have the money and all 3 are "spotlight" teams.
  9. Maybe a change of scenery is all that's needed. Something bad happens to young pitchers not named Kazmir when they pitch for TB. That said, I wouldn't sign him unless it was strictly a minor league deal.
  10. Is Porcello the kid from Seton Hll Prep? Edit: Yes he is. The kid has some great stuff. There have been articles on him in the papers here in Jersey.
  11. I want no part of Bonds. If he doesn't re-sign with the Giants, then he's done. Maybe there will be an AL team desparate for hitting and insert him as their DH. Other than that, I can't see any team wanting to sign him based on his history, his probable high demands, and risking a bad fan reaction to the signing.
  12. am I undersyanding that right? it sounds like it isn't a big deal, like it could even be random. even if true, it would pretty much fall in line with similar studies. I would find it hard to believe that the error in such a study would be less than 2 or 3% let alone less than 1% As a statistics student for 2 years, I believe that the margin of error is usually around 3% (based on sample size of the population). A 1% differential? You gotta be kidding me. How is that significant?
  13. I'm in as "lone NSBB Viking fan". Creative name, I know.
  14. From Rotoworld: I really don't want this to happen.
  15. If he was wearing a Yankee uniform, they probably would.
  16. He can play 1B, 3B, and RF and probably LF if needed. If the price weren't steep, I wouldn't mind adding him at all. Better him than Podsednik.
  17. I was just gonna post this here. The Phils now have about 20 third basemen.
