  1. That's a pretty small sample size. Though, I did doubt he'd have much of a career with the Cubs.
  2. And I thought we had a lopsided game. Oklahoma won 79-10
  3. He did it! Congrats to Clay
  4. Oh yeah. Central Florida beat NC State 25-23. No way
  5. As I left, me and a few hundred people who were exiting watched the Michigan game from the TVs on the ground level. It was unbelievably insane. We all jumped around and screamed after that last blocked FG. My throat is sore from screaming.
  6. Counsell. He's not good at all, yet he's still on a big league roster. And yes, his batting stance is the most ridiculous thing ever and he should be beat up for it.
  7. Imagine what his OPS would look like if wasn't hitting below the Mendoza line. I suspect he'll haunt us at some point in September.
  8. *pinch* Crap, I'm not dreaming. This is a bad trade. Cherry and Moore were never going to be great in the majors, but they are both better than Trachsel. :x
  9. Ummm no. The MVP rarely goes to pitchers, let alone middle releivers.
  10. As was Micah Owings. That one stung. I really liked Owings in the draft and was hoping the Cubs would spend the money. Oh well, at least they got Eric Patterson between the two. Most people seemed to think they wouldn't get both. I felt the same way. I was hoping we'd sign him, and was worried we'd end up with neither after Owings spurned us. Thankfully, EPatt signed.
  11. A few years ago, Larry Walker, Cliff Floyd, Pedro Martinez, Moises Alou, and Randy Johnson would have made them pretty good. And they would currently have Grady Sizemore.
  12. Congrats Geo. I would have rather seen him starting on the big league club though.
  13. My brother (a Yankee fan) is a huge fan also. He got disappointed when they let him go.
  14. I would have liked to hold on to Rapada, but it's not the end of the world.
  15. If it makes a difference, Steve Phillips said we'd win the division.
  16. Why must you torment us so? Actually, I should have seen this coming.
  17. Tomko is very average. We don't need another average player on the team.
  18. As long as he doesn't get regular playing time, this isn't that bad of a move. He'll be a good power bat off the bench.
  19. have you checked yours? I have an ERA? I wasn't aware I was pitching in organized baseball.
  20. I thought for sure he retired a few years ago. Of course, a beating like this might warrant bringing pitchers out of retirement. I believe he came out of retirement this season. I think this game will send him right back.
  21. And the Bewers are now gonna score 10 runs in the 1st inning. Gee thanks
  22. I had to go check the box score to see for myself. That's insane. Some ERAs are going up.
  23. Rogers Hornsby. +1 +1 I wasn't alive yet, but from what I've read, Rajah was an amazing ballplayer.
  24. I chose that one as well, for the same reasons.
  25. Good hitter, but didn't get on base much and had average power. Not your typical middle of the order hitter. Wasn't a bad player in his prime, but he wasn't exactly a superstar either.
