  1. I would just like to take off the "News" part of the title.
  2. Yes, but that doesn't matter. He's a team player, you see. And he's sooo clutch. And he plays the game for the game and for his team. He's not selfish and only playing for money like A-Rod.
  3. And sweet, sweet revenge for 2003 Yes, this too.
  4. That's pretty darn funny.
  5. HAHAHAHAHA The funny thing is, none of those fans defend Jeter's defense. They just go on about how clutch he is and how good of a teammate he is and then bash on A-Rod for only playing the game for money.
  6. Yet, look how much power he had over Hendry's moves in Chicago. Be prepared to have him coerce Krivsky into deals. That is unless Krivsky is more strong-minded than Hendry and will not fall for old Jedi tricks.
  7. Here it is: Reds get: Juan Pierre Dodgers get: Jason Marquis Cubs get: Jay Bruce :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: Where do I sign?
  8. Almost all of Major League Baseball thought for years that the home run was a "fad" and hitting a bunch of them was basically unsportsmanlike. Almost all of Major League Baseball still thinks the save is an awesome stat. I can trump that. The Cy Young is mostly hinged on a pitcher's W-L record. Pitcher A: 10-11 2.23 ERA 1.01 WHIP Pitcher B: 17-8 4.25 ERA 1.33 WHIP Pitcher B wins Cy Young.
  9. If they do change to "Miami" and switch to the AL, then we could still have the World Series that Back to the Future Part II predicted! :D
  10. He's angry that Macias was grabbed by the Pirates and is frantically trying to convince Krivsky to trade for him.
  11. I just came to post this gem, but was beaten to the punch. Dusty's gettin all his horses back to the stable.
  12. I'm guessing it's just to break up the lefties. That's the only plausible reason to have Hill as the fourth starter.
  13. Yes, this. I'd much rather see DeRosa or Fuku batting second.
  14. Is it just me or has their been more arguing on this board than in previous offseasons?
  15. Interesting if this happens, but when would it, if ever?
  16. From looking at his numbers, he walks way too many batters to currently be effective in the majors. However, his K numbers and low HR and hits allowed numbers indicate that if he can harness his control, he could be a top reliever.
  17. I can't wait to see to see it after it's completed.
  18. Heyman is partially correct. Adding Votto with either pitcher would "be too high of price to pay, that part is correct, but starting off a package with bailey or cuerto, is an insanely high price to pay for a AL Version of Jaso Marquis. Blanton is better than Marquis. But yeah, that would still be paying too much. Until Dusty runs Blanton into the ground.. Right after he runs Harang into the ground.
  19. For Erick Aybar and Chone Figgins. Just reporting what I saw, take it with a grain of salt. MLB Trade Rumors is almost always wrong, and they guy just said "source from the Cubs" and nothing more so it's probably not very credible.
