  1. Heyman is partially correct. Adding Votto with either pitcher would "be too high of price to pay, that part is correct, but starting off a package with bailey or cuerto, is an insanely high price to pay for a AL Version of Jaso Marquis. Blanton is better than Marquis. But yeah, that would still be paying too much. Until Dusty runs Blanton into the ground.. Right after he runs Harang into the ground.
  2. For Erick Aybar and Chone Figgins. Just reporting what I saw, take it with a grain of salt. MLB Trade Rumors is almost always wrong, and they guy just said "source from the Cubs" and nothing more so it's probably not very credible.

  4. Yay, Lieber's back in 32. Here's to hoping he pitches liek he did last time he donned that number in a Cub uniform.
  5. Meph, 16 days ago you accused me and/or my source of fabricating a story. You should know this: I will continue to post rumors from sources, who I believe to be credible based on my history with them regardless of how unreasonable or unrealistic you think the trade scenarios are. I am not in the business of fabrication. I am always very clear on this board differentiating between deals I've heard vs. deals I am suggesting. And considering that Bruce Miles (who I think we can all agree has an absolute stellar reputation for facts in addition to being very generous with his time here), has chimed in twice in the last 7 days that there may have been/may be some discussions going on, at least now I feel good for my source, who you unfairly through under the bus. The information that the 2 teams had or are having discussions was not only credible, it was real and confirmed regardless of what your stamp of approval may or may not think. 1 pt. for Hoops.
  6. Oh that's easy: Kent Merker and Neifi Perez
  7. Crap, it was a typo, and was supposed to reference a previously known failed test. That takes the fun out of this.
  8. Bruce Miles said earlier in this thread that the Cubs aren't really interested In crisp and that they don't see him as an upgrade. I'd very much believe Miles over Levine. +1000000000
  9. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
  10. I thought Hendry didn't want Crisp. I don't know one way or the other. The way he said it, it seemed like the Crisp part was a throw in comment; maybe his own guess or maybe he's right. He sounded more definitive about the teams involved. Could also just be spec. Who knows at this point...
  11. What if the rumors die down in Spring Training, but then heat up again at the trade deadline? Then we'll keep it going and shoot for 500 pages.
  12. I don't think so. Then he wouldn't have been telling us a trade would be done soon. We know how much Angelos loves Roberts.
  13. fixed Yeah. I was actually going to type that exact statement but changed it in fear that people would self-destruct at the realization that Roberts probably isn't coming. http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/thumb/b/b1/Exds.jpg/250px-Exds.jpg :this:
