  1. He was announced as their No. 2 starter, behind Jeremy Guthrie. WTH was their rotation last year?
  2. My eyes hurt after Russell. At least we know what we're in for this season.
  3. Works for me. He's pretty raw but looks like there's decent potential there. As someone else said, I'll take that over a middling 25-year-old reliever in AA.
  4. I'd prefer to keep Garza unless the prospects coming back are blue-chip. Soto and Wells might be able to warrant a good prospect or two. Definitely agree on Garza and Soto, both of whom have real value. The other 3 are just worth whatever a team looking to fill a hole is willing to give up. However, I don't know how many "blue chip" prospects Garza is going to bring in. Thinking back a few months, when people were asking for Turner, Castelannos, and one of Smyley or Crosby, I'll admit I was sucked in, but in reality, something more like Drabek, Alvarez, and Snider from Toronto sounds more realistic. Maybe replace Snider with Gose if the Jays were desperate, and even then we might end up tossing in a minor piece. As for Soto, I still think TB , who are still in the hunt for a starting carcher would be the perfect spot, although their once plentiful farm isn't what it once was. I wonder if Soto and Byrd for Upton would be a possibility. I think we'd match up well with the Rays in a Soto trade, but would we trade to pry Upton when we have BJax waiting?
  5. I forgot I also have a Carlos Pena signed bat. And a Mark Prior signed baseball :(
  6. I like Marlon but I'd be all for this if we could get a decent prospect in return. Maybe an A-baller with upside. Then platoon Sappelt and Reed until BJax is ready.
  7. Haha that's fantastic
  8. He's had a few years as a decent reliever for the Blue Jays. Not bad to have as depth.
  9. They were gonna pay Alex Smith $8 mil a year. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if they surrendered a second round pick or something.
  10. Death to Tebowmania. I can see the Dolphins giving up too much in a trade. They're terribly desperate for a QB.
  11. I really wish we'd keep Shark in the pen. Though it's good to finally the SP depth if/when he falters
  12. Oh the humanity if that thing ever cracks open during a game. Has there ever been a "game delayed due to fish deaths?"
  13. I've forgotten to check on this the past couple years. Mind if I join you in the Titans war room again, dew?
  14. David DeJesus wins the batting crown.
  15. Randy Wells is moved to the pen and is our best middle reliever.
  16. I approve. Four years is reasonable. Wouldn't go more than five. I was happy with keeping him if we couldn't get a good haul.
  17. Are the towel jokes really that funny this many years later? They just make me sad what we missed out on.
  18. https://twitter.com/#!/Reds/statuses/174207694171938817 Still a little bummed we traded him, though I'm still excited about the guys we got back. Wish him well (except when he pitches against us, of course).
  19. A lot of money, but (assuming he stays healthy) he'll remain one of the league's best third basemen for a while.
  20. Ugh, no. That [expletive] got so old so fast. It was funny for a bit. Now it's tired and old. I'd say the "jump the shark" moment was the Taco Bell commercial but he was getting boring before that.
  21. Seeing Z in that photo makes me sad. I wish him well, though I also look forward to the first fight between him and Ozzie.
  22. That's really random. Why more PTBNLs? It took this long just to figure out one. As I said before, I'm ok with it being Carpenter. He'll always have command/arm troubles. It could've been worse.
  23. I would be OK if it was Carpenter. Could be a decent reliever but he'll always have arm/control problems.
