    It was close, but no better than the one the ump called a ball like 2 pitches prior Exactly.....that is what is unacceptable ump rewarded him I guess for continuing to so consistently miss 5 inches off plate

    wouldn't say it's "anger inducing," but i'm generally opposed to carrying 3 catchers. and they aren't only doing it now out of necessity due to the dearly departed olt and lastella (rip), they've been doing it all season. i do agree that if they all continue to hit like this for the remainder of the season, you live with the inflexibility it creates defensively.
