  1. I wonder if there is a way for those organizations that gave Reilly all those awards over the years to come back now and take them away from him. I'm not sure if such a process exists or what you would even call it.
  2. It's proven he isn't special. A special dynamic RB would have done more than he did even with a crappy team.
  3. Why, why, why? A) Why would you do this? B) Why would you film it vertically? C) Why would you not focus on the subject you are filming?
  4. In English are you trying to say: This team is still trying and that is a credit to Sveum?
  5. What did he do/say/write? http://www.thenation.com/blog/176260/rick-reilly-and-most-irredeemably-stupid-defense-redskins-name-you-will-ever-read#axzz2fLH7jNJo Well, that's interesting. How in any way did he think positives would come of that? I guess he's getting talked about which is something that hasn't happened for years. I'm sure somewhere in the ESPN executive offices they have a countdown clock to the day his contract expires. He doesn't get the awards he usually does but Reilly gets talked about plenty.
  6. I see very very little chance for him to be special.
  7. I don't think a 3.5 yard/carry running back (or any running back not named Adrian Peterson, tbh) is worth even a mid first rounder. Because stats for the first seventeen games of a career, on a bad team with no passing attack are predictive of the rest of a career? Yeah, I'm going to remain dubious about that. Well, it's more the fact that he's a RB in the first place than what he did in Cleveland.
  8. And for people who care about evaluating a front office, its gives a pretty clear-cut break for the new Cleveland front office to no longer be able to blame the old one, since they have a ton of picks this year. Now they have no excuse to be terrible next season and should be competitive in 2015, otherwise these guys are terrible at their job.
  9. Agreed. And I don't know that this is a good return. They just picked him 3rd overall LAST YEAR. Theyre going to trade a #3 pick for a pick likely in the 20s because the Colts are an 11 win team and playing in a weak conference. The Colts aren't an 11 win team They were last year, which is what I meant. Coming off 11 wins and playing in a weaker conference this year. When he was drafted in 2012 doesn't really matter. Presumably this front office prescribes to the theory that no rb is worth such a high pick, and they know they will suck for many years without a complete roster overhaul.
  10. On the other hand, it could be a complete waste of time.
  11. Again, I find the holier-than-thou, this team being bad doesn't bother me like it bothers you uncivilized freaks talk to be so obnoxious.
  12. Some fans of sports teams don't have positive reactions to their team being among the worst in their league. It tends to bum them out.
  13. The Buffalo is lead blocking for a guy named Bill. I don't get why a lot of the birds and the Bear have random individual pieces of fur or feathers just sticking out to break up otherwise smooth lines. The Bronco also has a Lion's mane and the Bengal looks like a sperm.
  14. I actually don't think it is that simply. It has the entire state of Wisconsin map, a star over the city of Green Bay, the words Green Bay, and Packers, and an unnecessarily interlinking GB steal beam design. There's too much going on there.
  15. I like the 49'ers, Packers and the Pats, the Steelers is the worst. I think GBs is as bad as PIT.
  16. So the majority are picking the road favorite?
  17. NFL on ESPN ‏@ESPNNFL 15m BREAKING: Broncos lose Peyton Manning's left tackle, Ryan Clady, to SEASON-ENDING injured reserve. (via @MikeKlis)
  18. This beer talk would not be allowed in that beer thread.
  19. http://cdn.ksk.uproxx.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/lol-meriweather.jpg
  20. Eric Stoltz during a makeup session for Mask.
  21. I can probably watch all or most of a spring training game, and I've definitely paid to go to a few. I will watch a series or two of football. But the difference between October hockey and playoff hockey is so drastic that I can't even imagine watching a second of preseason.
  22. I was in Vancouver during preseason hockey time one year and was shocked how into it those crazy canucks get about it. I, for one, could not care less about something like preseason hockey.
  23. Most of them were released or traded, not waived.
  24. The first line I saw was Bears -2 but that one is now -1.5. So people might be betting on Pittsburgh not starting off 0-3, which would seem unthinkable to most coming into the season.
