    The only reason the decision is right is because of the odds of success if your play call is decent. If the play call is horrible the odds of success go way down and the decision is not right. This isn't a series of individual events, they all tie in together.

    I think we better hope that they just do a much better job in other areas of the game because those weak spots always seem a lot easier to address in theory than practice. If they start scoring 40 points a game, and halt the occasional opponent's drive, you can live with weird decisions.

    Yep, smart fans never expect a win until two years from whatever day it currently is. When you finish building your army of straw men, mind trying to have some conversations with adults? The short of it is you cannot separate the decision to go for it on 4th down and the play-call that went with it. It doesn't matter if going for it is "right" if you are running Michael Bush up the gut again. The horrible decision to run that play negates any positive takeaway from actually going for it. Then you have the entire pre-half segment and a host of other bad decisions and it is painfully obvious that Trestman is handicapped by his glaring head coach decision making disabilities.

    Of all the things to bitch about w/ Trestman this game, that 4th down is way, way low on the list. The playcalling at the goal line is a bigger issue than going for it on 4th down when your defense blows.. right, the fact that Trestman has repeatedly made poor play calls in those situations makes the decision for me. You kick the FG and take the points again ive agreed with every other 4th down decision the Bears made this year until that one No, you don't take the FG there. You never take the FG there. Not until the rooftops promise not to sue

    Nice. Saw them all on Washington street in Hoboken at 7 am couple years ago. It's nothing but dads walking babies as moms sleep. The whole crew was desperate for coffee, presumably hungover. Goose was struggling.

    Just to clarify, trestman is a great oc and horrible hc decision maker . And the pathetic people who think the cubs had to take a dive are the only ones who disagree.

    He is a great oc and horrible head coach. Idiot. i'll take a brilliant offensive mind as a head coach any day of the week. that way no one else can poach him and we're back to square one offensively. plus, it's his first year. i still want him to squirm tomorrow for that disgusting display, though. I will take a great oc who doesn't screw up decision making as head coach. Call me greedy but that sort of compromise is for suckers.
