  1. ALS, or other brain damage
  2. I'm definitely a hockey fan, and this percentage is high, but probably not by a ton. Hockey fans are definitely odd birds as a collective group. I sat next to two dudes at a Devils game a month or two ago who spent the entire time talking to each other about what awesome fans they were and what horrible fans the rest of the crowd was. The truly dedicated self described experts are terrible people, but it's a small minority. The majority of people are there to have a good time and drink beer. Which reminds me, I need to put in the request for the March 18 game at the garden.
  3. Then 98% of hockey fans must be weirdos. Besides they have beer vendors all over the aisles anyway if you get the shakes for a lack of alcohol .I agree with intermission time being a [expletive], that's why I usually shoot down to the bathroom when the last break before the period occurs. I fail to see how people can be so inconsiderate, dumb, or complete [expletive] to other people trying to watch a game. Hockey is different, there isn't much scoring, people don't want some jerk getting up while Kane is on a 2 on 1 because they can't wait a minute for a whistle. What 2 on 1 lasts a full minute? Some hockey fan you are mister.
  4. It's more of a physical addiction than mental. Live sports without a lot of beer is pointless.
  5. I'll wait to go back down, because they make you. But it's a stupid rule that only weirdos would get upset with when violated. Intermission time is an impossibility. There's only two periods of legal beer selling going on and only a handful of seemingly "appropriate" times to get-up. That is dumb, unacceptable and should be ignored. If you are sooooooo into the game that this actually bothers you then you have problems (not talking about lingerers, lingering is bad). Get-up and go and come back and sit.
  6. When they have a wait list 10K deep I guess they get arrogant. I have a 9 game partial package, three of the games fell on Friday/Saturday, I sold them and it covered the cost of the entire package. The fans that show up now, at least on the Fri/Sat nights are there just to drink, they don't "wait for the whistle" its a pain. Waiting for the whistle sucks. Why? So you can piss off the people sitting behind and next to you? Because you are attending a sporting event, and the need for beer can come about at any time. As long as you aren't lingering, you aren't bothering me. If seeing other humans move while watching a sporting event bothers you I think you have mental problems.
  7. Good. There's not much worse than fans bitching about lesser fans attending games.

  9. Mark Gonzales ‏@MDGonzales 1m1 minute ago Theo said Manny received rave reviews from young hitters. Said Sammy's status is being handled in other "circles." stop being stupid Tom
  10. Means you can maybe get the World Series finished before November. you already can I'll rephrase....it means you wouldn't be in danger of World Series games being played in November. until the next 9/11
  11. Bruce Miles ‏@BruceMiles2112 16m16 minutes ago #Cubs name Manny Ramirez hitting consultant and Kevin Youkilis scouting and player-development consultant. along with a bunch of other announcements

  13. God Kyle is so Kyle
  14. Yep, zero qb with high ceilings in this draft.
  15. It was reported by other outlets this morning. The Cubs are selling small stakes in the biz in order to fund the construction. They bought it for ~850m and have 95% ownership. It's worth ~$1.5B today so it makes a lot of sense to sell part of their holdings.
  16. len kasper is disgusted by the fat shaming
  17. I do not listen often, but from what I heard I could never see an interpretation where he was Cutler-ambivalent. He wants him gone. He wants to "move on".
  18. which is moronic and is an ass covering way of saying they have to tank in order to get better. He's a moron. I disagree with him strongly, but nah, not really. He thinks they can't be good enough next year to win a super bowl, which is dumb, but it's not the same as "get rid of everybody who is any good and get the #1 pick." Advocating that they ignore 2015 and base all decisions on how it will affect 2016 and beyond is exactly that, an ass covering way of promoting a tank job. It isn't the same thing as saying get the #1 pick, it is an ass covering way of saying that because if you ignore current needs you will suck and just because you don't say I want them to suck does not mean you are not advocating for policy that will directly lead you to sucking. He wants to get rid of Marshall and Cutler ASAP. He wants them to suck.

  20. The Bears arent actually considering getting rid of Cutler to save moneey. Even complete idiot GMs arent that stupid. This is all media scrutiny in order to cater to meatball fans. Cutler isnt going anywhere unless Tennessee offers their first round pick for him. Fans and some media members just cant think clearly or rationally about this. No Cutler, no chance to compete. According to Bernstein the Bears maybe trying to go the Cubs route and suck to get better. He's got a raging boner about it. Every time he talks about it you can hear the glee in his voice. I guess no one told him that a team doesn't need to do that in the NFL. I haven't been listening today, but just like two days ago he was telling a caller that that type of full teardown to lose on purpose doesn't work and doesn't make sense in the NFL. He was talking about longterm overhauls, tear downs and massive change when all the coaching/GM stuff went down. Although he's played both sides of the fence on that because he is a secret idiot that doesn't know stuff. He's all over moving on from Cutler but if they keep him he will probably declare it was the obvious option.
  21. My thought as well.
  22. Don't call it that.
  23. That is not anybody's claim.
  24. So far this could all be platitudinous and if it stays that way, no harm. The fox hire was boring and uninspired but at least professional and resulted in what looks like a quality staff.
  25. ahhhh, that makes more sense. what software are you using, some DAVIDv1.3 [expletive]? English
