    It was reported by other outlets this morning. The Cubs are selling small stakes in the biz in order to fund the construction. They bought it for ~850m and have 95% ownership. It's worth ~$1.5B today so it makes a lot of sense to sell part of their holdings.

    I do not listen often, but from what I heard I could never see an interpretation where he was Cutler-ambivalent. He wants him gone. He wants to "move on".

    which is moronic and is an ass covering way of saying they have to tank in order to get better. He's a moron. I disagree with him strongly, but nah, not really. He thinks they can't be good enough next year to win a super bowl, which is dumb, but it's not the same as "get rid of everybody who is any good and get the #1 pick." Advocating that they ignore 2015 and base all decisions on how it will affect 2016 and beyond is exactly that, an ass covering way of promoting a tank job. It isn't the same thing as saying get the #1 pick, it is an ass covering way of saying that because if you ignore current needs you will suck and just because you don't say I want them to suck does not mean you are not advocating for policy that will directly lead you to sucking. He wants to get rid of Marshall and Cutler ASAP. He wants them to suck.

    The Bears arent actually considering getting rid of Cutler to save moneey. Even complete idiot GMs arent that stupid. This is all media scrutiny in order to cater to meatball fans. Cutler isnt going anywhere unless Tennessee offers their first round pick for him. Fans and some media members just cant think clearly or rationally about this. No Cutler, no chance to compete. According to Bernstein the Bears maybe trying to go the Cubs route and suck to get better. He's got a raging boner about it. Every time he talks about it you can hear the glee in his voice. I guess no one told him that a team doesn't need to do that in the NFL. I haven't been listening today, but just like two days ago he was telling a caller that that type of full teardown to lose on purpose doesn't work and doesn't make sense in the NFL. He was talking about longterm overhauls, tear downs and massive change when all the coaching/GM stuff went down. Although he's played both sides of the fence on that because he is a secret idiot that doesn't know stuff. He's all over moving on from Cutler but if they keep him he will probably declare it was the obvious option.

    So far this could all be platitudinous and if it stays that way, no harm. The fox hire was boring and uninspired but at least professional and resulted in what looks like a quality staff.

    No sympathy for bottom of the playoff bracket teams that lose out to teams that "sneak in" via "loser's" point.

    It would be like if baseball went to a homerun derby if the game was tied after 9 innings, or basketball went to a free throw contest. It's only there to "declare a winner" and a "loser" I thought it would be like playing beer pong? If baseball awarded points for wins and ties vs no points for regulation losses (an unnecessarily convoluted concept that provides no more worth than simple w/l record) then perhaps that would be an issue.

    I don't think I am nitpicking, I legitimately had no idea what he was trying to say. I didn't know if he had some newfound love for Schwarber or something. It's not obvious at all by what is written.

Bryant, Soler, and/or Russell. that still would not make sense Which part isn't making sense to you? the statement that "there are two guys that are better prospects than either bryant, soler (and/)or Russell on his own team." to me that sentance says there are 2 unnamed prospects that are better than bryant, soler and russell. Maybe its the either throwing me for a loop or something, but it does not compute.
