  1. A minor league contract worth $700k? One report described him as a workhorse reliever. He led the league in appearances three straight years, but he did it as a loogy with 50-60 IP each time.
  2. ASIAN GIRLS EVERYWHERE
  3. pretty sweet video of the pick, where you can see Butler break to the spot almost immediately after the snap and being in position to make the play by the time the ball actually leaves Wilson's hand.
  4. Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 37m37 minutes ago Super-Bowl MVP Tom Brady said on WEEI that he wants to give his MVP truck to Malcolm Butler. Wants to. Gotta get those tax attorneys on this one before they do anything.
  5. Brad Biggs retweeted Joel Corry ‏@corryjoel 2m2 minutes ago Lamarr Houston's (Bears) $5.9M 2015 base salary becomes fully GTD on the 2nd day of the 2015 waiver period, which is today.
  6. deflated run environment
  7. Winner dinner actually. but who says you can't have breakfast for dinner?
  8. Yeah? They are probably most concerned with the assault charges in a year where the league has struggled with men assaulting women.
  9. Colin Cowherd @ESPN_Colin · 2h 2 hours ago I like pancakes at 7am. Some guys like hookers. To each their own. #sapp disappointed that the 7am part has been walked back
  10. also tiffani thiessen has a new cooking show, it is not called saved by the dinner bell or saved by the bell paper or amber waves of grain
  11. Can't agree, Wilson is typically going to be able to cover the ~6 yards with his arm a lot faster than Butler can cover the ~4 yards with his feet. One of the reasons it's a bad play call is that you aren't going to get him the ball with a 5 yard cushion(what pass play from the 1 could?), but that's exactly how it's supposed to look. As your picture clearly shows, he hasn't released the ball yet and the defender is moving forward. Obviously he isn't capable, "typically" or otherwise, of making up the difference, or else, you know, the guy wouldn't have caught it. Even if it is not intercepted, there is a high likelihood of the ball getting popped up into the air upon contact. He's not dealing with excellent receivers. It's not a make or break play. It's a horrible decision to throw there.
  12. If Cutler makes that throw it's complete because he has more arm strength and it gets there in time.
  13. He has clear eyes on a perfectly positioned DB who is leaning in ready to pounce. That's horrible QB decision making.
  14. Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 3m3 minutes ago Packers have released special teams coordinator Shawn Slocum, Head Coach Mike McCarthy announced Friday.
  15. man it would be so sweet if they kept many of the same players that are rumored to be gone (Cutler, Marshall, Briggs, Allen) and basically just blamed it all on Trestman and his coordinators... and then won next year.
  16. Rich Campbell ‏@Rich_Campbell 18s18 seconds ago Bears are retaining WR coach Mike Groh. The team announced it extended Groh's contract. Could this be a signal they are maintaining status quo with receivers, and keeping Marshall?
  17. Yeah, a 22 year old who can reach some sort of free agency without actually playing in the NHL is a weird system, and it probably makes a lot of sense for a currently good team to be trading those guys for 18 year old versions.
  18. How do you go from uncertain whether Marshall will be back to it would be a surprise if Marshall isn't a Bear?
  19. It's fun to [expletive] on the Patriots, and it was a cheating scandal in the conference championship game involving deflated balls. There's probably a small segment of the public that cares about the morality involved, but the majority of people are having fun with it.
  20. did people really take that at face value? ****I mean besides Logan *****and new york cub fan
  21. Turns out Fro was right:
  22. I'm very confident he's wrong about Schwarber. Worst-case scenario is he's an above-average defender in LF who can really hit. He's got all the tools to be a MLB catcher... just a matter of whether the Cubs let him develop them. You think he is very wrong about rating him as a top 100 prospect?
  23. He seems like the type of guy that wouldn't take a cheap one year deal. I think his ego is too big. I think he saw that he shot himself in the foot in terms of post playing career. He's not a big enough star to go out in an ugly manner and maintain stature. And he never won a super bowl. It's pretty obvious he sees fox and the staff as a huge upgrade and a chance to win, or at least go out on a much more positive note.
  24. Lance is openly campaigning for a job with the Bears and while I was disgusted by his blatant nonbuyin of trestman I will admit I'd be all for bringing him back on a cheap deal. The Bears are too thin at LB to rule him out and a rejuvenated Briggs would reinforce just how poorly trestman and tucker did their jobs.
