  1. no, they are not very lucky.
  2. Wasn't sure who it was but I saw it
  3. Hasn't his back caused issues since his rookie year? I have to say I have no memory of anything related to Bostic
  4. the german coach seemed pretty happy about that
  5. What? Why is that expletived up?
  6. well, they were pretty clear it was temporary and due to injuries to other guys, but...
  7. thinking it does harm is rather ridiculous. Tell that to one of the parents of the numerous kids who killed themselves from cyber bullying. twitter invented cyber bullying? cyber bullying is exclusive to twitter?
  8. I understand crazy popular celebrities not liking twitter, cuz the pure vitriol they receive on a daily basis can't be fun. But for us "normies" it's a great way to interact with media types and get instant information. Yes, you have to go in with a skeptical mindset, but I genuinely don't understand the hate. I don't want to interact with media types and I don't need instant information. I don't need a constant flow of tweets during a game. It's just not for me This is so weird. You sound like the 49ers coach. If you aren't interested in it fine, don't use it. But how can you hate it if you do not use it? I have no interest in using facebook but I do not give a [expletive] about it. Brandon has different uses for it than I do, since I really don't have any interest in interacting with media types. But I do find it the best way to get updated news information and be entertained by some comedians and other personalities.
  9. somebody asked fox what he's seen out of bostic and the answer was nothing since he hasn't been in camp. Rotoworld has a note that he may have an undisclosed back issue but nothing specific. Is he more or less done with the Bears?
  10. [tweet] [/tweet] earlier: [tweet]https://twitter.com/Ky1eLong/status/608608007040212994[/tweet] and even earlier [tweet]https://twitter.com/Ky1eLong/status/608342879950499840[/tweet]

  12. Well that was a Henry draft and he was bad at his job.
  13. Probably my favorite running meatball meme in the game thread are people bemoaning losses as being "horrible" or "disastrous" or "crippling" or any other multitude of ridiculous hyperbole, like the loss is SO bad it's going to crush the spirit of the team and send them into a spiral of defeat. There's probably been at least a dozen of these types of losses according to the game threads. It's a miracle everyone on the team hasn't killed themselves. http://proxy.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/020528 Blame Bill Simmons for trying to define the types of devastating losses.
  14. yeah, I've never understood it. It's entertainment at the very least. And who knows, he could be 100% right and the trade could fall apart last minute. It's just fun to speculate and see if anything materializes. Exactly. Seems like most of this who lash out are the doom boners who gripe about everything negative that happens to the team and just assume nothing good will ever happen. Surprised they didn't work in something about the Cardinals being baseball sorcerers, too. This mentality among some has almost made me stay away from the game threads this year. It's like the Cubs finally have a relevant and fun team to follow and there are still people who don't know how to act. It just gets tiresome. if you were around in 2008, you will know that this will never get better no matter how dominant this team ultimately gets Boston fans still lament their lot in life and Yankees fans are apoplectic that they went two whole seasons in a row without making the playoffs. That's how sports fandom works universally. The losses are far more painful than the wins are enjoyable.

  16. Mark Gonzales ‏@MDGonzales 26s26 seconds ago Cubs select LHP Ryan Kellogg of ASU with 5th pick.
  17. Yes. Did it involve the Pearl Jam guy and Lester? I think it was the imminent TV deal that never happened. yep
  18. But the company twitter is not making a prediction, random people on twitter are making the predictions. So, "twitter".
  19. I don't really understand this idea. OF is a 3 position area with 5 guys regularly on the roster. Positional need should not influence your picks.
  20. Will this be the year that Reynolds compares a player to a player that isn't the same race? Will there be a pick that he does not judge based entirely on what major leaguer is currently playing that position for the team?
